Poor Charlie Ewels, so forgotten by England (rightly), that he can't even get a mention in this thread.

If he turns out for Arcachon Extra 4ths(or wherever he may appear) I’ll have a man on the spot for a match report.

Yes, it does rather take the edge off it somewhat.

They are both in their starting XVs, Tom wearing 8 for B/B and Jack 7 for Toulouse. Toulouse need to win to secure a semifinal place and Bordeaux seek a win to be in the playoffs. The odds must be short on them both making Borther’s World Cup squad. Mathieu Jalibert is back from injury for B/B for what could be a fascinating match. Kick off is at 8:05pm UK time. If you’ve nothing better to do tomorrow evening, watch it!
Edit: Gabriel Oghre starts for B/B!

Does anyone know where I can watch the Toulouse v Bordeaux/Begles game? I searched in vain last night for a viewing.

Try “Rugby on sofa” streaming. I watched it on tv yesterday evening and it was an excellent game.

John Afoa (ok, not a Brit, but loved in Bristol and will be 40 soon) now plays for Vannes in ProD2, who are in the end of season playoffs away to Nevers tomorrow evening, hoping for promotion to the Top14.

Why curious? Lamb is a pretty good lock.

Just unexpected but I guess I can’t blame him.
He’s very physically gifted and young enough I thought he might have held out hope for England down the line. I just wasn’t aware he was Italian qualified, but I could see him adding something for them.

Don't know if someone's adjust Wiki to take the mick but his name is listed as Dino Luciano Lamb-Cona.
At 25 I can see why he's opted to play for Italy now. He's a good club level lock that could go further but England are starting to bring through a few very good locks that are younger than him and already getting caps.

I hope the Luciano bit is real. That’s an amazing name.
Didn’t realise he was 25 already actually. I didn’t rate him for quite a while but he’s come on a lot in the last couple of years.

Agreed - he's turned into a decent Prem professional (which I didn't think he would at one point), but if he stays with England, the most he'll get is a vs Barbarians appearance or a cap or two during the Lions.

Impressive. Is he someone to look out for when he comes back, do we think?
