Back in the WC one, I’ve had my best ever week in fantasy rugby. 4th overall with 572. Could have been more if I didn’t let my heart rule my head on the Japanese.

Hmm, the recalculation has boosted me considerably, but Goode, Cipriani and Thorley were all very disappointing points wise

Huh. Not only am I first in both the Prem and RWC league, but I'm 5th nationally in the Prem. Can we stop the season here please?

Yep - I thought I’d get more than 26 points from a back three of Thorley, Naiyaravoro and Goode ... the worst performing unit of my squad this week.

On the RWC game most of my team were good but Daly’s -1 was the obvious lowlight.

I’m going to struggle between heart and head next weekend. I suspect my team will be primarily made up of England and SA players because regardless of the fantasy game I won’t want the NZ players to do well.

Team of the week: https://therugbymagazine.com/fantasy/pr ... gameweek/1

A good day for the Hills with Paul, Jonny and Ted all putting in top performances! I managed to pick all of none of them.

Here's hoping I have a better week. Actually not been too hard pressed on selection this week - I've had options, and the hardest calls have been about who to leave out, rather than find someone to put in!

5 Sale, 4 Glos, and 2 of Bath, Sarries and Bris in my XV this week.

My top 3 points scorers from last week are all not playing this week so I should be catapulted from the top of the relegation zone in our league to almost bottom. I was trying to explain how competitive our little league is and had to show them how I was near the bottom of ours but top 3 in the other one.

Willis and Curry missing out cut my back row options but I think I’ve got a very good team out. Hope I’m wrong for Quins sake

Itoje as captain feels like a good call today.

Definitely. George wasn’t a bad call, but Itoje should score really well today.

Worst premiership week in a couple of seasons. Not sure if it was the weather or bad selections but I only had two players score over 20 points and a lot were in single figures. Oh well, onwards and upwards, its early days yet.

My scores have been pretty modest so far. Some of my regular stalwarts have been underperforming, but I’m thinking to stick rather than twist as I worked out that if I’d kept the same 23 I had on the opening day of last season, I’d have scored more or less than I did agonising over tweaks and changes every week!

I did pretty well, and would have had a better week had Morahan not let me down, and I not been stuck with a zero after Spencer booked with lastminute.com

The way the deadlines work has changed. Players are only ‘locked-in’ at kick off.

I had Spencer too but swapped him out on Sunday morning to bring in Ben White (he was cheap and it was him or Wigglesworth). It meant I didn’t have a kicker who was actually kicking but White’s 25 points was a reasonable haul I wouldn’t have got under the old system.

I actually had a good result, as Uren was automatically swapped in and he got 40 points - it was just that I had a zero on the bench

Have had to take a 20 point hit just to get one prop starting this week!

I have a full team of starters and mostly starters on the bench. Not that it means much with the way my teams play.

Some frustrating rotation this week, but I’ve managed to get a decent squad out with 19/23 starting.

14/15 are starters, and 7/8 on the bench. It's just props that have been a struggle for me this week due to rotation

I had more wingers than I knew what to do with this week - I've got 5 in my XXIII and still leaving out two who are starting for their clubs. Made a gamble and chosen Segun over Naiyaravoro, leaving the latter out of the team altogether. That will either be genius or insanity this weekend; I don't know there is a middle ground on that gamble.

Well Sarries are playing London Irish so it’s not a crazy gamble. Segun was looking very good in the cup.

I feel like I have made some mistakes. The two wingers I chose to leave out? Naiyaravoro and Collins. Plus last week I was signing a back row and had a choice between Teimana Harrison and Nathan Hughes. I chose Hughes, who has scored 50 less points across the last two weeks.

I had Collins all of last season and he only came good once. I had du Preez as kicker, and the other two brothers. A lot of my squad have already played, and most didn't make double figures
