Given that in some places, being raped is punishable by death-by-stoning; it may just be possible that it's not under-the-counter crime in those places.
My post was in response to Lord Lucan's one suggesting that having women in power has lead to Sweden seeing becoming the rape capital of the world. Read his post again and if you agree with its misogyny then come out and say so. Don't hide behind the tragic deaths of some individual Swedish women to try and make a cheap point.
I think it's Scandinavian authorities that are concerned about the increase in rape incidences, and how it appears to be aligned with an increase in immigration, particularly from Muslim countries. Of course it could be an alt right conspiracy.

That's a fairly sweeping generalization, VG, given there are about 50 Muslim-majority countries, totalling 1.5 billion people, or more than a fifth of the world's population. But I would agree with the basic premise that the list in that article reads more like a countdown of nations where rape is actually likely to be reported.

Incidences of rape have plummeted in the west, just look at the DOJ's webpage for stats on rape in the US. You're more likely to be raped in the US if you're incarcerated in a federal penitentiary. Personally I think Rape NGOs, and Quangos that are funded by the state apparatus are modifying the definition of rape to keep the stats from falling further. They don't want to lose out on sweet government subventions.

I would be looking at peer reviewed studies for robust data that control for the sort of variables being raised here. Google is OK for a start point (sort of...) but you wouldn't want to base an hypothesis on it.

I'd be happy to see an indefinite ban on muslims coming into Britain to settle, until they can get their house in order and learn to live in peace with other people. Not all muslims are radical I know, but until there is a foolproof method of determining who is radical and who isn't , it just isn't worth the risk to national security.
Incidentally, why do so many muslim countries have a permanent ban on Israelis entering their countries? Do they see them as a security risk or are they just being racist?
