Maybe, but 15k should be possible. They have time to market it. I'm sure weegie fans will try to pop over as well. Rare occasion for Scottish Rugby, even if it's just the Challenge cup.

Do QFs not have minimum capacity requirements

Don't think so. The only one I'm aware of is the 18k for the champions's cup semi finals.

Ok ta.

I also wonder whether there is an agreement with the council to appease locals that the trial was for x league games.

Is there not a 15000 requirement for the QF? People were banging on about Allianz Park being suitable.

Should be a convincing win for Edinburgh. Anything else just goes to show why they are contributing next to nothing to the national team.

Edit - I found this wonderful website called google and it turns out that this match in on sky sports.

One of Edinburghs many problems is what little quality (and it is little) they have is concentrated on too few positions. I really think they need to trim some positions and lean on the academy more.

One of the many things Glasgow do better than Edinburgh is budget allocation on players.

Manu, Hardie and Gilchrist are all towards the high end of Edinburgh contracts that arguably aren't 1st choice XV players when everyone is fit and on form, or it is pretty close so is the value really there.

It would be nice to retain Hardie, but the money he is on could be used to strengthen elsewhere. A back up 7 doesn't need to be on that much.

Manu has been pretty much perma crocked. With the emergence of Bradbury and the ability to get Miller in the mix next year is he really needed on that money? Then there are the academy guys Gordon and Crosbie who they shouldn't be afraid of using if need be.

Gilchrist has offered nothing despite his wage, he is arguably behind MacKenzie on current form. Start giving Carmichael gametime and look for an alternative.

Of players under contract, Rasolea has been pish, and I doubt he's on peanuts. I wouldn't be against calling it quits with him if it can be agreed.

Perhaps more controversially, is it time to let McInally go? Cochrane and Ford provide old heads with Turner there as 3rd choice.

Pleased with McCallum in the last two scrums. Tough start and conceded a deserved penas but bounced back well. For an academy prop that's a good sign.

HT. 9-7 Edinburgh holding on but it still feels like Munster are not in full gear.

McCallum doing OK so far v Kilcoyne.

Here's a question. Should the academy players be transferred to full time contracts after a set number of games. McCallum has done a lot on an academy contract.

Kinghorn was unlucky with the last kick but didn't really deserve to win.

Both young props were very good given the circumstances.

FT 9-10 Kinghorn misses a kick from 51 meters at the83rd minute, just short.
