Shame. Would’ve been good for him to play at ‘home’.

Probably more of a shame that he has/d pretty much secured the 13 spot at Saints.

Might’ve struggled to get it back from Hutchinson anyway, given his form. No surprise given Hutchinson had half a season at the Goldington Rd Finishing School last season, obvs. It is a shame, though. To me, he looks the better long term prospect of the two.

As an aside, looks like it’s going to be a sellout. I’m not entirely certain but I think that is 6000ish.

Hutchinson was shunted inside last week...

Some poorer moments in defence, but a nice game so far for the u20s. From a Wasps point of view, Willis is a solid workhorse, 2 turnovers, rarely a poor carry. He's looking much more thickset than he did last season, hopefully next season see's him get some good GP gametime.

Comfortable win. Got better in the 2nd half, scored some nice tries. Get the sense that the side hasnt quite clicked yet.
Willis was good again, so too Tuima up front. Some good things from all the backs. Sleightholme looked really pacy and Hodge is a very tidy player.

Tuima is a really interesting player. He is like a a huge 13 year old. What happens when he actually hits puberty? Scary prospect.

How did Hinkley go?

Hinkley did well, he has remarkable pace and was everywhere again. Loads of missed tackles in the first half from the entire team aside from Hinkley as far as I recall.

Still looks like a very good out and out 7 prospect to me

Good news, really liked the look of him last time I saw the U20's

Team for Scotland. Exciting backline! Joel Kpoku’s twin on the bench and a certain Alfie Barbeary!!!

Ahh - a Bath FH; who's best at IC; playing FB for England U20s - what could possily go wrong?

That is a *dated* reference! Good work.

ETA. Come to think of it, that reference is older than his dad's international career!

Or what could go right, seeing as he has plenty of experience at 15, including international age grade rugby.

EDIT: just got the reference! D’oh!

Attempting multiple references in one; of various ages.
Take your pick
Ollie Devoto
Alex Goode
Matt Perry
Phil DeG
...

I thought that was the obvious one not even being mentioned (hence older than PdG's international career).

Skipped senior age grade and went straight to England caps (debuted for England before playing for Bath - at FH)
Mellsblue wrote:Bloody hell. I thought he was referencing Catt!!
Wasn't English at Age grade

If you're thinking Callard or Webb; I don't recall Callard ever even trying out at IC; or Webb anywhere other than FB - though we're getting right to my earliest times vaguely following rugby, and cold easily be mixing things up.

Willis looking very good. Vunipola looking more like a centre, but a ball handling one.

Looking foward to Barbaery coming on, even though I'll need to be patient.

Stream 3 seems the best quality. If you only get a thin line of video, just double click on it to make it fullscreen.

Lots of handling errors in the first half meant all of our possession didn't equate to much on the score board. Much better 2nd half though. Agree about Vunipola looking more like a centre than a 10, him and Redpath could easily have swapped. Both starting locks went well together, and Willis was very good. Ollie Lawrence was very good, as was de Glanville. Didn't think much of either scrum half, some very wayward passing going on

It’s a shame Barbeary only got a few minutes, but he still nailed his lineouts, beat three defenders and scored.
