The scientists concluded that known deaths of the critically endangered species accounted for only 36% of all estimated death from 1990 to 2017.

From what I can tell...
CO₂ acting as a greenhouse gas was discovered in 1859 (John Tyndall).
CO₂ (specifically from burning fossil fuels) influencing the global climate was theorised in 1896 (Svante Arrhenius).
"Global warming" first proven in 1938, with CO₂ identified as the likely culprit (Guy Callendar).

I imagine something similar could be said about the current flooding in Pakistan too.

We're not far off the times when 100s of millions of people decide to move to land with fewer extreme weather issues. The precipice we're currently falling from isn't just an environmental one, it's a humanitarian one.

When you look into the amount of ice that is melting off the Greenland ice sheet alone, not including either of the polar caps or the glaciers in Europe/Asia/America, just Greenland, it is genuinely mind blowing.

A new study was apparently just released today in Nature Climate Change, finding that it's now inevitable that 110,000,000,000,000 tons of ice will melt in Greenland.

We could do with some good news. Hope this process is efficient enough and scalable enough to be useful for the environment, particularly in carbon capture.

If it sounds too good to be true... I'll keep my cynicism hat on.
