Yep. It's one thing doing it when you're flat to the line but he's doing it from 15 metres back.

Maitland very good today considering he's had no ball.

One more score and we break Italy but we're looking short of ideas right now.

OK hands up.. that was really, really poor from Horne. Worse than Price's.

I still think he's brought a lot more pace into our play though.

Yes my laser accurate analysis strikes again, Hastings hasn't had a good game.

Wee george keeping the defence honest.

If we keep this up I think there's a third try in it. That's not to say we'll win or that Italy won't also score though...

Like clockwork, we cross the 22 and then go in to slow-motion.

Maitland looking pissed off.

Annoyed with Horne for the box kick that gave them the mark, and annoyed with Hogg for not passing.

Think that card is a bit harsh. The momentum to tip Gilchrist comes as soon as Fagerson hits that ruck. It can't be a coincidence.

Italy are absolutely f*cking clueless. A better team would have put them to the sword in the second half.

Feels like we've been chasing the game all day somehow. Not good enough to really take hold of it but let off by Italian ineptitude.

Brilliant. Walk to the line then realise you've wasted any time to get a BP.

HASTINGS told you.

In fairness that might be the least deserved individual or team try I've seen in a long long time. Not to say that Italy deserve anything. No one deserves anything from this game. Maybe some refunds for the fans, but that's about it.

Getting the win was the bare minimum. That's all they have done. A bit of gloss against a tired Italian team....

I see no real improvements from last week. I'd still say the Ireland game was our best performance.

See MB's post above you.

Until that clock goes red the BP is still a possibility. He strolled to the line AND booted the ball away.

Lol. Need a try. Fling it to the wing in our own 22. Why do we not ever show that adventure in the opponents 22?

No idea why Hogg protested against the ref blowing up.

He's the one that initiated the celebrations with Hastings after the third try. Not suggesting players don't celebrate but if you are chasing a BP win then .. don't do it?

Well we certainly didn't deserve a BP.

Some good bits in there, but this feels like the bare bones we're putting together rather than several years of development.

Italy haven't even got the energy in them to be hot shit this season...

Keeping Italy to nil was impressive, even if they were shite.

I know that there were things wrong with it, but we can work on it feeling good, rather than feeling down.

Come on, France.

The italian lying flat on his front clinging onto our ruck ball for dear life is an immediate penalty. Been quite a poor ref really.
He didn't seem to understand scrums or rucks much, so was at least consistent....

Decision making and execution seemed pretty poor - but it's a win!

Away.

And good showings from Sutherland, Cummings, Ritchie & Watson.

I thought it was strange to hook the props when he did - they were both playing well and the prop that Sutherland has dominated was coming back on. Wasn’t material, really,

Thought Harris was probably my MOTM, dunno who got it.

Can't blame the players for celebrating that try, they are under a lot of pressure and entitled to celebrate

Zebo is toxic if that's where Russell is at then yer better off

Watson got it. Thought that he and Ritchie were great and a large part of the reason that we kept the Italians scoreless.

Other than that, that may be the most dispiriting comprehensive victory it has been my missfortune to watch. Defense was ok but bailed out by some good scrambling and optimistic Italian decision making. In attack we were patient but pedestrian, hoping our star player could create out of nothing (which he did). Half backs were consistently poor and created nothing on their own merit. That's good enough to beat a poor Italian side (and if I was Italian I'd be furious) but we were very limited and won't trouble Wales or France playing like that.
