Big difference between the 68% that have Simmonds (and mostly started him as Captain) and those who don't. How expensive would he have to be to not be worth it?

I never learn my lesson. I always think "I'll have someone else other than Simmonds as captain and then I'll score big while all those basic people with Simmonds as their captain miss out." This week I picked Montoya, who did have a pretty good week, but his doubled score for captain was lower than Simmonds' score as non-captain.

If I'd just picked Simmonds as captain every week instead of trying to be clever, I think I'd have enough extra points to be top of our league.

If you could keep going in that vein, and say when you're planning to start him as Captain (when he'll have a down week) that would be terrific

I'm glad I moved away from Simmonds as captain and chose Byrne instead. At least he scored a try in his 8 minute cameo.

Simmonds is rubbish as captain for my 6nations team though!

French scrum half or number 8 are my six nations captain. I traditionally do better with the six nations than the premiership.

Yep. This is the conclusion I came to. I know his score won’t necessarily be the highest week in week out, but for every slight dip where he gets say 40pts as captain, there will be another where he’s getting over 100pts so I’m settled on him as my captain in every week he’s playing.

Had my best week in ages but still frustrated as I dropped Dunn and Esterhuizen to the bench. I’d have been flirting with 600pts if I got those decisions right! Still, I’ve made up good ground on Puja.

I’ve also learned the hard way that topping our league all the way through the season means naff all when it gets to the play offs!

That’s two red cards for my players this week. One more and I get to keep the match ball. It’s the only thing I will win this weekend.

I dunno why I bother sometimes......

I hate to break it to you, but Simmonds is getting a red in the second minute this week. I've given in and made him my captain.

I had Rapava Ruskin, Wiese and Liebenberg, so unless Bris v LI goes off tomorrow, that match ball is mine

I saw the Exeter result and thought, "I knew it. First time I pick him as captain and he's involved in a scrappy, low scoring game where he doesn't score a try for once." Then looked at the numbers and he's still managed to get 33 points (on today's numbers). Man's a machine!

Though having looked, I'm currently the league leader for the round, so maybe I should make this a regular thing?

Picked Simmonds as captain last week, but this time I think I've got a sure-fire hit so I decide I'm gonna be clever and not pick Simmonds as captain again - he scores 55. Standard.

Naulago owes me a big game. Although transferring in Lonsdale and Rodd this week put this among my better decision-making weeks already.

11 whole points. I really should try and learn that I'm never as clever as I think I am. Actively handicapping myself

Yep, also in this boat. I scored a 100 points more with three players red carded last week (though this week not helped by Hill's late withdrawal and my inexplicable decision not to look at the Tigers team sheet and just assume Henry and Steward were playing)

Typical ... the week I lose patience and replace O’Flaherty is the week he scores well ...

England are killing me for locks. I signed Martin only for him to get called up, but he was too cheap to sell the next week so I sold someone else to bring in Ribbans who I got use out of for one round before he was next to be called up.

In fairness, I've done it the last three weeks, so I'm obviously on a time-delay.
