For all the good things he has done, Marcus Smith's decision making has been questionable on a few occasions today

Scary stuff from Smith.
I can’t wait to see how Jamie George is looking at full time.

The last two ‘mistakes’ were a preplanned move going nowhere and a hail mary on advantage.
The KAGADs I’ll give you… and then he puts in a great little touch finder.

Those aren't the only instances. He ran down a few blind alleys in the first half when passing down the line was open to him

Could really do with some dynamism from the bench, but who? Rodd or Sleightholme isn’t quite what I was thinking. Why have Sleightholme if we’re scared to use him though.

Sorry, just assumed by the timing of your post that was what you were referring to.
Agreed but that’s his game - sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t, but when it does... Don’t pick him if that’s not what you want. And I can understand not wanting it.

Next to zero chance we win this. Even if we get close the ref will find a way to give them a soft dubious penalty to give them the chance they need.
The “All Blacks” aura at work…

Baxter flies in and takes Maro's man and leaves Freddie with a 2 on 1 in 20m.

IFW had just made a tackle infield on the previous phase. Steward misread the situation badly. Needed to tread water not rush up.
Probs a try anyway but def a try once he charged up to man mark fresh air.
