Probably the least unexpected result of the games, Murray and Bond win a second Olympic gold for the men's pair, maintaining their 7 year winning streak at top level regattas.

Andy into 1/4s with a gritty win in 3 sets. Great stuff, esp the mental strength required to come back from a horror show in 2nd set.

The cliche of GB lording it sitting down on expensive equipment is holding true atm..!

Shes one of those athletes who you don't have to know the sport to realize you're watching greatness. So smooth, so precise, such a combination of elegance, power and control. I hate watching gymnastics but even I found her compelling viewing.

Jessica Ennis-Hill and KJT get started today. If all goes well that should be two more medals, one of which could/should be a gold.

Don't count out Brianne Theisen-Eaton. She and her husband could be the 1st wife/husband to hold the heptathlon and Decathlon golds at the same time.

I've only seen the highlights of his first bout but he certainly looks like he has the tools for the job.
