I just have the uncanny ability to make at least one bad decision every week ...

I signed Ted Hill this week for what is really a pittance. The only thing that enabled me to get a back row out.

Ted Hill is very good value for money.

My first mistake this week was picking Vui as captain ... he didn’t do badly but not well enough to justify being captain.

I had a straight choice between Lawrence and Marchant and unless the latter is as anonymous as the former, that was another poor choice ...

Having a mare this week. I've had 2 of my starters go off injured and 2 more that seemed to actively avoid getting involved in the play.

My hopes for a recovery rest on Glaws as I've got 4 of them, including Polledri as my captain. I'm sure Gloucester won't let me down... right?

I only made one signing this week - I flip flopped and then, put aside my aversion to Saracens players and went for Aled Davies over Hidalgo-Clyne.

He went or for an HIA after 30mins and probably won’t come back ... I’ll be lucky to get 10 points from him ...

He's lucky he didn't get a yellow for trying to shoulder charge someone too

Very underwhelming week for me. Almost every 50/50 decision I went with was wrong ...

- Davies over SHC
- Didn’t choose Genge as captain
- Lawrence over Marchant
- Leaving Earl out

If I’d have got those right, I would have been more than 100 points better off.

I got utterly crushed in the cup. He picked Genge as captain. I picked a bench where literally every member outperformed the equivalent player in my starting XV.

I’ve dropped to 44th now. I’ve been rubbish since the restart and I’m fighting to stay in the top 50 rather than breaking into the top 20 as I’d hoped.

I picked good players, most of whom ended up on winning teams. But just one of those weeks where most scored really low!

Yeah - sometimes that’s the way of it. Watching the Quins vs. Bath game, it really wasn’t that obvious to me why Obano scored nearly 5x as many points as Stuart, for example.

The most frustrating is when subs (as in players who are actually on the bench in real life) outscore players who start.

As a case in point, Ben Earl and Rees-Zammit’s tries meant the scored more points than the flanker and winger I actually picked to start despite only playing less than a half.

Sometimes I’m tempted to start the ‘grey’ bench players, but when they score less than 10 points more often than not, it’s too big a risk.

Decided against burning 20 points to bring in Barbeary this week. Not my best decision.

Exactly the same for me ... also had a bunch of subs outscore my starters. Still, looks like it’ll be one of my better rounds so I can’t really complain.

Another good week for me, even with a couple of subs outperform starters and being unable to fill my 23 jersey slot. Think I finished 55th for the round overall

Not sure who Reigate Royals is on here, but 621 points is w very good week.

I almost hit 600 but I’m a bit worried the boom might be followed by a bust this weekend ... depending on rotation I might be very light on players!

I’m calling this midweek as my bust round. It wasn’t too bad (for me) but I lost points to even get two props onto the field. This weekend will be better as my first team will be playing.

I’m always hesitant to drop points to buy props and centres as generally, they’re the lowest scoring positions.

I haven’t looked in at all of the stats for R19, but I would wager most props and centres scored less than 20 points. It depends if you’re signing them for the round or for the duration. If it’s the former, you’re probably going to get a net minus. If it’s the latter, it’s a bit more justifiable., but I normally only carry a maximum of 4 props in my squad. Right now I’m down to 3 because I sold Obano to fund me on shoring up other areas.

As we’re getting towards the end, it would be good to get a reminder of who’s who ...

I know Puja is The Pujover Tries and Peej is London Platypodes. Which one’s yours Shiny?

My team is going to be absolutely screwed this weekend! None of my Exeter players and none of my Bristol players have been picked and a bunch of my other players are on the bench (Genge, Hoskins, etc.). So far, I only have 4 players starting although the Quins and Bath teams might help me.

Decimated ...

Whereas I've been after Royal Oak Wanderers for a while to get into the play-off places! Should really start looking below me - you're getting uncomfortably close with that haul!

I think my squad must just be odd - I could get 14 starters and a bench of greys even before the Quins, Glaws, Bath, and Sale teams are announced. Was able to be fairly relaxed in my transfers this week - finally managed to get rid of Odogwu after transferring him out for three weeks in a row and then having to transfer him back in as selection problems meant I had to ditch someone more expensive to get an XXIII out.

To be fair, neither of the top 2 post on here so in truth, they’re pretty irrelevant for our league.

Play-off places are really 3rd to 6th.

As my experience last year showed, being first counts for nothing at the end ...
