You probably never worked behind a bar then. I did during my year in Britain - Isle of Man, Isle of Wight, Jersey and finally a small town just out of Rugby. & that's pretty much the way bar staff think. But if you prefer to chuckle your head off over creepy teddy bears, there's not much I can do about that...

Only that you'd probably need to have worked in a bar to see the funny side of pretending to be interested in people's conversations when they're sloshed and pitiful and refuse to go home - thereby preventing you also from doing so after a 10-hour shift. If you didn't laugh about that, you'd have to cry . . .
