11 starters and 5 subs to play and 183 points, but with the captain yet to play. Disappointed with some of my players scoring though, would have hoped for more, but still, not bad.

I'm down the bottom, but I only had 5 subs play yesterday. The big one will be today - I dropped George Ford from the starting XV to put Marcus Smith in as kicker and captain (mostly because I think Irish will get minced), so that'll make or break my week.

Haha. I also put in Smith, but not as kicker or captain...as I think there'll be something going on elsewhere

Lozowski must be bagging me a few points. Had Eadie on my bench though, so that's a bit crappy.

Who's got Brits?

Seemed an obvious choice to me... very happy. Also quite happy to have Robson, wish I'd made him captain, but Gopperth probably won't do too badly there.

OK. Now really annoyed I didn't make Robson captain... 3 tries!

TBH the only reason I didn't go for Brits was the signing of Tolofua. I figured they might be looking to phase Brits out. My mistake ...
Still, on the plus side for my fantasy team, Robson is my 9, Wade is on the wing, Gopperth is my kicker and Lozowski bagged me a try.

I decided against him on the basis that he wouldn't be a regular starter. Now I see I've made a tactical error - it's worth having someone like him who won't start every game because you can just pick them in your XV when they are playing and drop them when they're not. Very much like Robson in fact...

Thanks Stom! Appreciated the advice!
Quite happy with how the first week's looking so far though. Solidly mid-table and with 6 starters and 1 sub still to go tomorrow. As long as Leicester don't get pummelled, I should be okay with staying out of the relegation zone!

Has anyone else noticed that the prices have already started changing? I wondered whether it was manual or based on an algorithm and it looks like the latter. I'm already turning a £53k profit on my squad!

They've been fluctuating quite a lot. At one point Robson was worth over 600K. seemed to have calmed down a lot since then.

Robson seems to be one of the game's potential bargains. But the bargainiest bargain must surely be Simmonds. At just 107k, he was a great buy, even if he doesn't get into the 23 every week, he's already almost worth it.

Definitely some opportunity for bargains out there. Robson, Simmonds, Takulua (sp?) looks to be a great option for a potential backup kicker if my other options don't start.
How much was Vincent Koch?? I may have to change some of my props up!

I thought i'd put him into my lineup, but it turns out I may have had problems connecting

4 starters and 2 bench players today, hoping for a late surge after losing a few places in most my leagues yesterday.

Definitely. I've only seen the highlights but the stats suggest he had a great game. To be fair, he's been nothing short of very good every time I've seen him play and after championing him on here and other forums so much I would have picked him even if he'd been twice the price.
If he can build on that start, I can't see why Baxter would revert to Waldrom.
There are a good few bargains I reckon. A couple of the Exeter props are cheap as chips. I didn't see that performance coming from Koch, so he may prove to be a huge bargain but Williams and Moon were 50+ points cheaper and I doubt many props are going to be scoring and making assists that regularly.

I know it's only week 1, but our league could be pretty competitive. Given I'm currently 111 in the whole league and 1st amongt falcons supporters, yet I'm only 4th in our league!

I'm solidly positioned in 19th place. Still, its a long haul.....

Be interesting to see if my policy of versatility delivers, but I've made decent start - mostly helped by having Koch and Robson - though I was screwed over by Steenson's average performance

I feel screwed over by my second row selection. Picked Dennis who pulled out injured a couple of hours before kick off, and by the time I found out it was too late to change my team...then Bryn Evan spent the grand total of about 20 minutes on the pitch before going off injured for Sale. Balls!

Bryn Evan cost me too, still did mostly OK with others.

Just imagine being me - my only Sarries starter was George Kruis who went off injured after 14 minutes.

Ouch. Brits seemed like an obvious choice, was hoping for more from Mulipola though. Koch was a big surprise, may have to trade for him.

I've got both Evans and Dennis too, and I'd left out Kvesic as he was on the bench. And my swap of Denton for Simmonds wouldn't go through owing to issues with the site

I'm happy enough with Williams for now, but that was a huge score from Koch
