Many of my favourite rugby moments were taking big hits and then showing the foaming at the mouth mongoloid who tackled you exactly how far down the pitch you now were/where the try was scored after sending a runner through the hole he left.

I think Jones rates him but wants to play on his inexperience and what will be very understandable nerves. There's also the very real possibility that it's not a tactic in the slightest and old Edward is playing his usual mind games.

I have no issue with it, it's no different to Gatland commenting upon players scrummaging techniques really is it? I suppose we'll see if Patch has the big game temperament (I hope so as Anscombe doesn't convince at International level).
