Jones the master tactician.

Minute 10. Joseph to 13, Daly to wing and Slade in at fb.

Mind you that could be an inprovement

Furbank is injured but even so.
Is he? I hope that is the reason and not the 'one tach only' in 23 policy

Ffs. Getting tired of this selection lottery now.

Why do we keep selecting players out of position and insist on locks in the backrow?

A full 5 of the starting XV do not play those positions for their club. Why the fuck have we dropped an actual full-back (after two caps of hell, no less, poor sod must be feeling great!) so that we can move to an ersatz full-back and an ersatz winger? Why are we trying Lawes at flank *again* when it never, never, ever fucking works?!

Why are we filling our team with square pegs in round holes when there are round pegs ready and waiting to go? If we were out of back three, then I could see Joseph being pushed to wing as an emergency option, but we've got Furbank, Thorley, and hells, I'd even have the likes of O'Flaherty ahead of him because he's NOT A WINGER!

WTAF Eddie? I was defending you this morning!

Exactly my thoughts. Insane selection - and not in a good way ... I’ll be at HQ on Sunday and I’m dreading it now.

This doesn't look quite so out there now!
I thought it might provide some encouraging contrast when the real team came out. How naive of me.

Get ready for "I've simply picked the best team available for this game" when questioned about any of this.

Anyone got the slightest clue if Joseph is any good under a high ball? I was genuinely going to put him there in that joke team but thought it was less believable than Lawes at 7.

Joseph on one wing and Youngs on the other would have Ireland quaking, no doubt.

Has he never started there for England? He's certainly played there before but maybe just after changes from the bench?

You clearly aren't that meticulous, chapter 7 is coaching Australia

What's Ludlum done to go from being 1st choice to out of the 23?

Would having Ludlam and Earl on the bench give people the impression Lawes isn't really a flanker? Maybe EJ would find that embarrassing.

5 locks and 2 back three players in the 23 is bonkers. Even with the injury to Furbank, why wouldn't you just bring Thorley in on the wing and move Daly to 15? What the hell is Eddie doing this tournament?!
