Playing international rugby isn't like playing Prem rugby and it's definitely not like playing Bristol's brand of helter skelter rugby. It's one of the reasons why I don't particularly rate Randall his kicking game doesn't really stack up at Prem level and international level is a big step up. That being said the kick to contest that led to the third try was much better, the one out on the full earlier in the half absolutely horrific.
well yes. Every intl side box kicks.
Stuart off
And the scrum clicks

Nah, that's absolutely a tactical move. We used to be trained to do that a few years back (before refs started to clamp down), as it gives you a huge advantage in setting up the maul. When it's done more subtly, you often get away with it at the top level and it did look very much like Isiekwe swung himself behind Itoje as a deliberate move.

Stuart off and our scrum gets better.
And that defense from Italy? Damn that was poor. I mean, wow, I defended them but that was poor.
Nice pass from smith, though

Genge with a bone headed clearance and we’re defending for our lives.

Yep. I think he’s gone well and definitely worth persevering with. Particularly as he’s only 23…. which was a shock.

England gone off the boil.
You'd think youngs'd be used to crappy ruck ball by now and could adjust.

Youngs on and with two interventions he produces one pass above head height and a knock on.

Youngs on. First pass 2 foot above Smith, then knocks on.
