Ashman on the bench. Let's hope he's been practicing lineouts this week.

Toony was never going to make radical changes. Great to see Christie getting his chance, but would also have liked to have seen Matthews on the bench. Only a couple of changes to the French team with Woki and Bielle- Biarrey coming in. Let's hope we can keep our discipline this week.

I'm happy enough with that team. Can understand the calla for Matthews but:
1. Is he that great or just a players who fits well with what Glasgow are doing?
2. It is not long until Ashman might be our defauot first pick with the others aging a bit, and he does have some potential. I do wish we had had a decent spell with McInally, Brown and Turner all at their peaks though.

Neither of these seem like a reason not to have a look, if he’s currently playing better. Maybe GT sees some sign that he won’t step up as well as Ashman, but it does seem like Matthews is performing better at the moment and getting a bit of experience in to more than 1 backup seems sensible anyway.

Number 2 could be quite close to the mark. Who knows? Maybe the next coach is calling the shots already…

Won't be able to see today's games on account of travelling to Lisbon for a lads weekend (at my age
).
Go well Scotland don't let the doomsayers (looks in mirror) tell you you're not good enough ... you are, but it would be great if you proved it!

Paterson starts at 15 with Rowe on the wing and Steyn dropping out...

Massive call to put the young lad at full back rather than Hutchinson or even Jones to back 3 and bringing in a centre.

If they're good enough then they're old enough. Reckon the young lad will do well, even if his long term ceiling might not be that high.
Worried about this one though. Reckon we're in for an angry French backlash after last week.

Pretty good I’d say. He’s looked very solid so far.
I really hope that failure to capitalise on France weakness doesn’t come back to bite us.
I definitely feel like I’ve said that before.

He's done well.
Back 3 working well as a unit except one horrific missed tackle.

Once the on field decision was held up, don't think it was going to be overturned based on the screened images.

Should never have come to that. We were too negative.
