At least they seem to have learnt their lesson from last week and kept Spencer on the bench

Well, Freddie fucked that up.
Baxter flies in and takes Maro's man and leaves Freddie with a 2 on 1 in 20m.
IFW had just made a tackle infield on the previous phase. Steward misread the situation badly. Needed to tread water not rush up.
Probs a try anyway but def a try once he charged up to man mark fresh air.
Doesn't really matter it's always a 2 on 1 in acres of space as soon as Baxter flies out the line. Need Baxter to tread water and close the space so that the last defender has a cat in hell's chance of making a tackle.

Furbank would have intercepted the pass, run the length and scored a try

I was amazed we actually had a TMO. Where was he for the two high shots on England players? The one in the 22 at the end there looked a certain card. No arms shoulder to the upper chest/chin of TCurry who wasn't even the ball carrier.
Frustrating watch, we lacked patience with ball in hand again. Went to the boot to readily withdraw those grubbers that were very poorly placed. Only plus from the second half was Ollie Sleightholme, great impact.

I’m not particularly worried about the outcome, as I said it’s probably a try regardless, more Steward’s decision making. A decision that adds to other poor ones in similar situations.

Well naturally the Wing Commander would have saved the day.
We did miss him today, Steward looked very rusty and Furbank's ability to time his acceleration to just as he catches the ball caused havoc last weekend. The ABs looked comfortable defending physicality but not comfortable defending pace and footwork.

Pretty poor last quarter. Too many errors and dumb options. Overkicked it again. Bench made limited impact.
Baxter was terrific. itoje was superb.

Chucked away with terrible decisions ball in hand.
On the upside, Sleightholme looked great with the ball.

Next to zero chance we win this. Even if we get close the ref will find a way to give them a soft dubious penalty to give them the chance they need.
The “All Blacks” aura at work…
What a load of shit.
