After some deliberation I sold him straight after the game before his value dropped too much. I think he will be out for the rest of the season even with a light ban looking at previous bans for others.
I caveat this with the fact that I always get things like this wrong, hence my standing in the table in the relegation zone. Obviously nobody else should get rid of him. He will have his red card thrown out and score at least a hat trick in every game left.

Good shout. Wish I’d done the same.
A few weeks back I sold McGuigan thinking that Dunn would almost certainly score more points. Since then McGuigan has comprehensively out scored Dunn. Story of my season ...

These delayed games are playing havoc with selection

Team news for Exeter - LI not expected until midday Monday. At the minute I've about three starting players!

Yeah - really annoying.
Thankfully, I have a decent amount playing in the first three games which means I can pick 8 starters with some more starters on the bench.
The tricky part is whether to pick a player you don’t know is 100% starting or not. For example, I don’t know whether to pick Mercer who is playing tonight or take the risk that Simmonds will start against Irish.

Thing is, if players from wasps etc are better options you won't be able too swap them in. Complete guesswork this week

Are Bath really starting a fly half at hooker? So much for my strategy of having both Dunn and Walker.

Basically the game is telling me I've picked a bunch of players who aren't playing, and has auto-subbed out my captain. Sub optimal

I suspect it'll reset once the lineups are announced.

Yep. That’s exactly what will happen. Same as in the RWC with the extended game weeks.

Jesus I've been utterly screwed over by this round. Guessed some players would be picked that haven't, picked from a more limited pool and got poor returns.... Not good at all

Mine’s not going to be great either. Played it safe with players I knew were playing and a lot of my reliable scorers (like Hougaard, Dombrandt and Odogwu) had modest weeks. Rodd has a shocker too - definitely got that 50:50 with Tom West very wrong this week ...

Talking about tight run-ins in the Premiership, our league is pretty competitive - 2nd to 6th separated by 59 points (or just over one Sam Simmonds).

Yep. Scott’s Chiefs don’t really count since he doesn’t post on here (I don’t know why as I’ve suggested he does on a few occasions).
The make up of our play offs (2nd - 5th) could easily change between now and the end of the season.
After finishing first and losing in the play offs twice in a row, I’m hoping it’s my year!

Tried being clever and didn't pick Simmonds as captain this week... and it actually worked for once! Genge getting me a cool 52 points doubled to 104. Now I just have to hope Simmonds stubs a toe after 2 minutes and everyone else gets doubled zero!

I’m on 397 points with Simmonds (captain), Skinner and Maunder (bench) left to play.
Not bad, but really frustrating as I got literally every 50:50 call wrong this weekend ... If I had picked Willis, Rona and Carreras instead of Wiese, Radradra and O’Conor, I’d have been about 50 points better off.
A full strength Exeter could really dismantle Newcastle 2s so I’m hoping my Exeter players can net me a good haul, but pretty much everyone (except Puja) have Simmonds as captain, so it’ll not make too much difference to my overall position.

So I'm hanging onto the podium by 2 whole points. If the team in fourth could just post their 23 so that I can exactly copy it, that would be great

As it worked out in the end, taking the gamble and making Genge captain earned me a cool extra 4 points for the risk. How's *that* for keen-eyed selection, huh?

So this week Bath and Gloucester players get the average score if we select them?
Quin's resting half their team has made things tricky this week

This week is going to be a farce for some of us. I don’t have any starting props and only one hooker playing at all. On the plus side I can field almost two teams of backs. Yes, I think my bath players should get average points.

I have literally zero Bath or Gloucester players (or at least I did before transfers happened). Would've made my selection so much easier if I had.
Managed to get a XXIII out with a couple of grey spots on the bench. Had to sacrifice both Smith and Dombrandt for it though, so they'll probably have stormers next week.
Gone brave and named a NSSC again (Non Sam Simmonds Captain). Might lose my nerve later and change it back - not sure.

I've had two relatively easy weeks selection wise. I sold two last week but didn't need to bring anyone in so had some cash to buy wisely (Well, I say that but so far of my choices the one I didn't opt for is racking up points). Meant I could keep Smith and Dombrandt. I am stuck with a couple of players I can't really sell on as their values have dropped. But the problem is also that I have choices in many positions. And that's always a dangerous place for me to be
