Bailing JvP out for some pretty ropey play from the base. He’s so slow.

Both newcomers have been crap so far.

JVP needs to speed up, good play from Smith etc to clean the situation up.

FFS JVP, what was that kick? That may have been worse than the charge downs. We should a tiny bit of invention running it from the back. This England is so frustrating, there's somethign in there.. but there are a lot of holes.

Was the acronym KADAB under Eddie? Kicking away decent attacking ball. .. Now Marcus is getting in on it.

The tactic is clearly to kick short and contest our bigger back three against their smaller counterparts. It's pretty obvious.

I'm watching with French commentary, and whilst I don't understand, at least it's not Austin.

Yeah I think I referring to that crap kick through on floor that went over the try line miles from any chasers.

Strange first half all things considered. They clearly have power on us but we have had some moments. Our defence needs sorting as they've bust through it way too often already.

It would need to be for Stupendously Bewildered and the Wigmeister General to come up with it.

Honestly… the fact we’re still in this is something. It’s not been terrible, it’s just that some players have been. Honestly, Genge has been poor, JvP pretty terrible, and Laurence awful. Steward is fine so long as he doesn’t need to defend…which isn’t ideal for a FB.

We’ve not had enough of the ball, but JvPs service has been so poor that it’s hard to judge the backs.

I've been screaming at JvP to get it out quickly. The only time he did, Underhill scored.

Overall, I'm torn with the new guidelines but if the new approach reduces box kicks I'm happy. One obvious solution for JvP is to use his left foot. If he can't, get him off.

Slade's superb hands in the first try hardly got a mention.

So- looked up for it, saffers bit rattled, and did a lot of good stuff.

JVP targeted, but messy ball and borderline Eztebeth....that said, he is a charge down waiting to happen.
I have sympathy and praise for Steward; any test back would expect to beat any oppo 1-1 in open field, and he was done by a great step (and the angles all against him) and a great player. He has done a lot well.
Pack going ok in the loose, set piece meh.

Slade had a good half all told. Showed intelligence at times, to, which can’t be said for his center partner
