You’re right ref Hartley needs to calm down. He’s looked far too lively.

So play the ball instead of falling on top of the half back. Jesus.

Best match I've seen him play. Disciplined in defence, attacking like a centre, and actually deserving of his hype this month.

Simmonds control at the base had problems last week as well didn't it? Not sure he has the reach to get it out the 2nd row either.

Not making ground in the tight either, inn the returning run he was stopped badly. Very effective in the second pod though. Want to see him at 7 still.

Was that a Bath style huddle for the players before heading in at HT?

Yeah, both worries.

Not sure we’re not playing in to their hands with this crazy left then right forward carries thing. Seems very easy for them to number up and Simmonds isn’t really being used.

I fee like we're trying to tire them out. And I think it's working, AWJ was trying to slow things right down.

I'm enjoying the ambition, i like that Farrell had been a threat ball in hand, shame about the left to right pass. Think we're lucky they didn't get the try given. We do need more heavy carriers. Mako is good, Launchbury is adequate but we really need at least one more. We've got a few that can operate well in those wider pods.

Launchbury has always struggled with restarts. Good hands and athleticism usually gets him through but his positioning is poor.

England’s defence up several levels with Joseph back at 13. Everyone looks more comfortable.
