I watch him do stuff like that and think "yep there's a player who I'd have chasing kicks all day"Margin_Walker wrote: ↑Sun Nov 12, 2023 9:01 pm Racing manage to pass Arundell the ball. Getting well beaten though. Lancaster's team 27 - 7 down to Toulon at HT with a man in the bin.

Used to be Premier Sports I think. Shows the URC and Top14 along with other stuff like La Liga.

Jeez. I've complained about vertical clips for phones but why does rugby need to be made "cinematic" with the letterboxing and lens aberration? Weird. Maybe messing with the image helps them get around copyright issues or something.
Arundell has that same thing Jordan and Penaud do where he makes it look so easy you can hardly tell if it's impressive. It's such a bizarre running style. He's so hunched over it's like he's struggling to break a jog, yet he's flying past defenders.

Re: Brits abroad
Making defenders look silly and scoring tries is all well and good, but is his kick chase up to scratch?

Re: Brits abroad
I know what you mean. The dummy and step on the first just looks effortless as is the stop start on the third try. He almost makes it look like a training run.Mikey Brown wrote: ↑Mon Nov 13, 2023 9:04 am Jeez. Of note in the game was both wingers came of their wings a lot, as you'd expect in a normal team, as opposed to the rigidity of England.

Re: Brits abroad
Eh, he's okay, I suppose.
I have been willing to forgive the staid, safety-first, limited gameplan of Staunch Ballkicking's England so far, on the basis that everything was about the RWC and that it was a short-term measure to deal with a short-term problem. But if we fail to use Arundell properly in the 6N (ie, pass the bloody ball to him), it will be an utter crime and will result in him staying in France rather than coming back to England for the joy of wearing a white shirt while doing shuttle runs chasing kicks.

I would be happy if he stayed out in France, embraced the French culture only to return as a pâtissier of note.

wheels, and the ability to perform Jedi mind tricks on defenders....see the 1st try where a covering defender completely ignored him

Yes. Henry has obviously been given a roving commission and did look very dangerous running through the midfield. What a dream start to his career in France with three tries - all of high quality. He's actually too good for EnglandEpaminondas Pules wrote: ↑Mon Nov 13, 2023 9:29 am Of note in the game was both wingers came of their wings a lot, as you'd expect in a normal team, as opposed to the rigidity of England.
