As much as it kills me as a purist, I have Woodburn at 13 for the same reason ...

I've got Solomona starting although I'm on the fence with him. I know it's only 2 weeks in, but I suspect that he will only really gets his points from tries. Unless he scores, he doesn't do that much else and as most of his tries are fairly short range, I'm starting to think he won't actually beat that many players to make clean breaks or make many metres ball-in-hand.

I'm leaving him in because I think he'll score this week but I'm wondering whether less prolific but harder working wingers might be better options.

Surely everyone has Wade + someone else?

My centres are Farrell and Woodburn, and nearly had Mullan in as my prop - versatility is key in this I think

Wade and Nowell are pretty much always in for me. Both likely to score decently through beaten defenders and clean breaks, Wade likely to get some try/assist bonuses, Nowell likely to make a good number of tackles and meters by running it back.

Also debating whether to sign Addisson or Scott but probably have too many Sale and Glouc players as it is. Given my league position any and all advice gratefully accepted.
Why not both? May can play centre in the game...
That's my advice too; I've got May and Rokoduguni as my centres, no matter how nonsensical that would be in real life.

Already got Woodburn and Marchant as my centers (with Wade on the other wing).

May in the centre for me along with Charlie Walker.

No Gopperth or Lozowski has made things interesting on the bench.

Well if that's the case, you have a very similar back line to me this week. Particularly if you pick Denny.

At the same time, that is my only real bugbear with the game. I'd prefer if realism was rewarded rather than picking a team that you'd never see take the field. I find it difficult picking players anywhere other than their actual position - even when it comes to props or flankers being on the right side of the scrum.

I will admit to having a loose and a tight head.

Maybe next year, they could have a penalty if you picked a player outside of the position that they started the game? Say you only got 3/4 points?

Yep - that's exactly my thinking. If you play a player out of the position they're actually playing in the game, perhaps it could be treated as the same as the substitutes - i.e. only 50% of the points.

I'd prefer to keep things as simple as possible. But, then again, I'd also prefer if I'd seen the possibility of Gopperth being dropped and not over-relied on Bath....

From now on Simmonds is going to be my captain. Another 2 tries, tons of meters, good number of tackles.

I ummed and ahhed about whether to have him or Lawes on my bench - think I made the right call. Just need Slater and Itoje to outscore him now.

Decent evening for me. Had Simmonds as captain with Solomona on the wing and Woodburn in the side. Should pick up some reasonable points from other Chiefs, Sharks and Saints players in my squad too. :D

Simmonds as captain, Underhill and Curry both scored decently, Walker did well, Ewels did well, Solomona got 2 tries. Only problem is Burns' -1 points...

Just got to hope for a Wade to score a hattrick, but Smith to score 4! Plus some rampaging from George and Itoje.

Khan and Addison going off early hurt me, Addison was captain too. Was hoping he'd get a load of meters, no such luck. Most my other picks are popular, so unlikely to be catching many people up. Ribbans probably one of the ones helping, with Tarus scoring well from the bench. Not expecting to keep my position this week, and likely to lose ground on the leaders.

I realised this morning that my 4 starters last night scored more than my entire 23 last week!

I still have 11 starters and 2 subs yet to play so I'm really hoping this week helps me to catch-up after a rubbish week last week.

The teams above me have quite a few similar players though so I'm relying on the ones no-one else seems to have like my flankers Wilson and Welch, racking-up a shedload of tackles against Saracens or Symons having a good game against Quins (as much as that pains me to say ...).

Think backing forwards to have to make a boatload of tackles against Sarries is a good idea. Was why I was annoyed Witty was dropped.

It's took me far too long, but I'm starting to realise that some players will do better against better opposition than against weaker teams.

The Burns brothers managed to screw me over royally this weekend!

Freddie scored 0 and Billy didn't even play which is infuriating considering that I only signed him to have an actual 10 starting. In hindsight, I wish I'd just played James at 10. He got me 16 points as a sub but had I put him at 10, I would have got 32 and I could have put another player on the bench to get me something at least.

If it makes you feel any better, I picked Yeandle as my starting hooker and Youngs on the bench. They scored a grand total of -1 between them. I'm not even sure how Yeandle managed to score 0 given how dominant Exeter apparently were!? No doubt my third and unused hooker, Dave Ward, will score a hat-trick tomorrow.

I'm going to make a request to keep the fantasy rugby chat to this thread if we can. I've noticed that it's popping up regularly in a lot of other threads (including from me) and there are some people on the board who aren't playing this and don't much care how many points our players are scoring and what our selection choices were for the weekend. Seems easiest to keep it all to this thread instead.

Any major disagreements?
