Exactly this. Hard-nosed, lineout jumping 6 who can keep up with the pace of S14 and is a known leader
sounds great. But I don’t know how anyone could claim to have seen that since he’s been in England.
Can't argue with that.
Nz game was his best so far though, he did cover a lot of ground and was physical.
Yep. I thought he played pretty well against NZ. That said, he’s not shown form worthy of a Eng shirt since he move to Eng.

The trouble is, Dash, we don't want an 'honest trier'. We've got loads of proper English versions of that. Covering ground and getting stuck in is pretty meaningless if he is off the pace even by a metre. So far, IMO, he simply does not affect the game, even collectively. I have yet to see him make one single decisive tackle - of Worsley significance, shall we say. Over thirty yards, he must be at least five yards slower than Moody.
Today, against this Aussie side, if he's any good, Shields ought to be a real destructive nuisance. That's his job. We'll see.

Actually thought May had over-run it, rather than the pass being poor.
The standard idiotic Itoje penalty. But apparently you can tackle a tackler now? Anyone else see them upend Moon to stop it turning into a maul?

He didn't make it easy for him, but it wasn't terrible

How was that legal from the Ozzy 2? Diving off his feet into the 9 from behind the back foot?

Could be, my stream cut me off from any replays to check

Typical. I knew we'd be quick but my stream died on kick off... I've missed around 75% of England tries this autumn

Our best 9 chucks a five yard pass at his target’s hips. If May is too flat I’ll change my mind, if he’s not it’s a s**t pass.

Ha. Brilliant bit of motivation from Farrell 15 phases earlier to set it all up, though.
