For anyone like me, who fancied a bit of nostalgia, here's highlights from the 1991 final:

Utterly bizarre to watch as it's a different sport to anything around today. Not just the way professionalism has affected the players, but also the little incremental law changes across the last 28 years have made rucks and lineouts completely different beasts. I wonder if you put today's England side up against that one, without any preparation time, how it would go. Of course the difference in fitness, skills, and size would be massive, but the laws and the tactics that those laws demand would be utterly baffling. I can just imagine Tom Curry trying to cope with those rucks!

Mind, just imagined BillyV carrying the ball through Jeremy Guscott. Now I'm smiling.

Fixed.
It wasn't a dodgy decision. Cueto's foot touched the line before he placed the ball.

It was a shit final from a shit tournament run by shitty organisers.

Ha. This coming from a man who resides in country where a mental meltdown from their team was blamed on a referee.

To clarify, it was tongue in cheek. Most England fans were just happy we got as far as the final and, to top it off, had an excuse for a weekend of drinking in Paris.

It was marginal - foot touch and ball ground happened same frame, so it was a genuine 50/50. And it was a shit tournament - it was at that fun time in the laws when everyone just booted the ball up in the air because it was better not to have the ball than to have it. And for England to get to the final considering how crap they were was incredible - it would've been daylight robbery had we won.

However, even crap as we were, at least we managed to beat France.

Excuse me, we've talking solely about 2007 here. Don't know what you're referring to.

True -
also none faced the first and last ball bowled in a completed 1-day final, got run out with the scores tied in a final or threw a return that bounced off a runner's bat to the boundary in the last over of a final.. wtf.

Redemption though, already playing in a winning Wuss T20 Blast team. :)
