Comedy ban for Wood today. 6 weeks (so two games), reduced down from 12 weeks, in part because of his "expression of remorse".
Nothing for his expression of "I bet he plays on. What are you taping? What've you got to tape?"

To be fair Wood has no form as a dirty player, despite his less than sporting leaving of the field the other day

True enough. I just feel that his behaviour should have been factored into how much mitigation he got - it was inexcusable behaviour and something that a statement needs to be made on.

I don't see how he had a go at the ref and at the player he stamped on, even if more a a tap than a stamp, and then gets to claim remorse. It's a bad look for a game that from time to time gets precious about protecting the ref and then when presented with a chance to do something about a player losing perspective and having a go at the ref simply lets it slide
