unfortunately this tour sees people playing themselves out of contention, rather than demanding selection. The least bad if you like :)

Although there could be one or two surprises it does seem that JJ is not in the reckoning. And i would have Daly over North out of Saturday's lot.

Doesn't he score a few tries and play for some sort of fling-it-about, glorified-7s club side though?

I think he falls into the Tipuric category when it comes to Gatland.

The team is screaming out for just a little bit of creativity. Shoulda brought young George Ford really.
We'd still probably lose but at least we'd string a few fecking passes together.

They are either protecting Farrell, or the young man has has said 'Feck this, the fifth game of the tour and I have only been in the starting XV for one of them'

In weather news, it's expected to be a clear night tomorrow but it's almost as cold as Len's love life. It does warm up a bit during the day, much like Len's mum after a few drinks, but it freezes right down at night, like a girl after Len's tried a few of his patented pick-up lines.

Am I the only one looking forward to seeing T'eo and JD2 in the centre?

Nine players with All Black caps (though only two are tights forward) and a couple of fringe test candidates. A workman like pack coupled with what is basically an all out attack backline.
Yay, I'm looking forward to listening to Stuart Barnes butcher peoples name again.

Hopefully we'll also hear him talking about Talafafufalute and Gregor "Townsend" Laidlaw too.

I wonder how many times he'll mention Owen Farrell?

The HSE recommend drinking on only every second mention of Farrell in the 'Barnes has an unnatural obsession with Owen Farrell' drinking game.

Can one challenge for a test spot only starting one game? If so why are the others wasting their time getting knocked about when the team was selected before the team left for NZ

You would think that, if he was a nailed on starter, that game time with Murray might be of some importance.

Or that it was always going to be the Irish duo

I like the Maori shirts. They seem to have taken their inspiration from Mike Tyson's facial tattoos. Nice touch.

Good start from the Lions but Maori looking decidedly average with a number of unforced errors so far.

Pretty clear how the Lions are going to play.

In the case of North, "rather shitty."

Barnes would be positively moist by now if it was Farrell giving these flat passes. He doesn't seem to appreciate it as much when Sexton does it as part and parcel of his game.
