Seems to be the main Quins tactic today
Aye. Not sure what's going on. Entertaining though.

Booing injured players is pretty lame.

Aye. That was pathetic, much as you might think Marler is a twat.

Jamie Roberts just stopped dead on the gain line by Joe Simpson and Danny Cipriani...this is the bloke who made his name running over enormous South African back rowers. Whatever he once had he's lost it.

Pen try. Roberts was over there.

Horrendous stuff watching us Munster it at the end there, but great win.
Clifford looking back to his best this season but an enormous amount still to work on.

Marler and Haskell with a hug there at the end. Ha. All is forgiven.

Quins usually have 1 of these games a season...normally against Sarries, mind.
Bad day for Wasps, they need Cipriani and Reider to not be out for too long.

What a result ... listening on the radio isn't great. I'm seriously considering getting BT Sport, I'm just being tight over paying £20 when I already spend plenty on Sky, Netflix and all manner of other non-essential stuff!

Very enjoyable game. Lots of good play, some moments of great skill, neat tries and plenty of edge.
bad day for Wasps, who look like they've lost 3 players to injury. Some sloppy moments cost them but credit Quins with a resolute effort. Smith MotM. Plays a lot older than his age.

No team in the Prem really firing on all cylinders yet. Some squads really obliterated by injuries at the moment.

I was disappointed in Simpson. He seemed to be slow and indecisive.

Yep, things havent really settled down yet. Maybe they wont all season. I dont think there's much between a lot of the teams.
The injury situation is concerning. There does seem to an abnormally high number of players unavailable.

Perhaps, but you can include Quins in the list of teams with significant injuries. As it stands we're missing Wallace, Buchanan, Twomey, Matthews, Visser, Saili, J. Chisholm and Bothma all of whom would be in contention to start or at least make the 23 if fit.
In a pretty lean squad, that's a lot.

I hope we're not heading towards something like the Top 14 where teams are happy to play scratch teams for some away games so players get a rest.

Marler was a dick and imo should also have been carded. I say this as someone who thinks Haskell is a dick.

Cards for both would have been about right, and we'll have to wait and see how impressed Eddie is with both of them. Haskell is a bigger tool though by dint of the scoreline, he's let his side down and done it for nothing.

Nothing! Nothing! He had water sprayed in his face. He could've died.

I think Hask is actually a touch lucky - there's a potential argument to be made that Marler gets a yellow for being a tw*t and Haskell gets a red for grabbing someone round the neck in a way that would've throttled someone with a normal neck. Don't think it's a 100% definite red, but if Marler's getting punished, then I think Haskell needs to get more for what is a pretty bad reaction.
Thought the ref had a pretty good game all round. Shut down the niggle early after informing the captains that he was going to give a penalty for the next provocation, not reaction. Required a signed and witnessed letter before giving a turnover for holding on the floor, but dealt well with the game considering it was only his 7th AP match. Particularly liked the use of moving the penalty 10m for backchat - both sides shut up quickly after he did two of those.

I liked Dai Young's comment:
"What you want from referees is consistency and I've got to be honest I thought he was consistent - he gave us nothing all game and that's all you can ask for really."

I'm reminded of the time Shaun Edwards spent 20 minutes after a training session at Wasps kicking a junior player around the training paddock screaming at him not to react after the youngster had given up a stupid pen the previous game that took place in the pouring rain and was visible to the other players who were greatly amused (that it wasn't them). Edwards might repeat that for a player like Haskell putting himself ahead of his team
Also if the rest of the Wasps squad don't turn up to training with water guns they want their heads knocked together
And lastly I do wonder if Danny Care took a dive today, maybe there was contact on the 9, but on initial viewing he did go backwards with something of a leap I assume to try and draw a pen
