I don't think you would find many warriors supporters who would be too disappointed if that happened.

He's clearly a very good player but he doesn't seem to suit the way we like to play. The attack just seems much slower when Te'o plays. Like I said above though, it will be interesting to see him play at 13 with Hougaard at 9 and Mills at 12.

The Te'o salary us much needed elsewhere, desperately at 10! Although we all have a lot of hope in Jamie Shilcock

Overall....Oddly for a team sitting in 11th, optimistic for our future.

Premiership....We have had one of our worst ever 1st quarters of a season followed by our best ever 2nd quarter. The away win at Leicester, having never won there or indeed really ever winning away, was a massive highlight. Injuries to pretty much every player (I think Bower, O'Callaghan and Adams are the only players who haven't had an injury so far) and having a smaller squad this year really destroyed our start to the season. Our starting 15 is great but we do not have the depth to cope with the amount of injuries we have had. Since Quins away our season has really turned the corner. The return of Ryan Mills, Hougaard and the introduction of Jono Lance and Alan Solomons coming in has made a massive difference.

Europe...The first season for a long time in which we have taken Europe a little more seriously. unfortunately injuries again have forced us to play weaker sides. Still doing ok and I think we stand an outside chance of qualifying for the next round as a runner-up. Normally by this time we are down and out.

Anglo-Welsh....Mainly played the younger youngsters in this comp. Captained by 20 year old Will Butler who looks promising. Players like Ollie Lawrence, Tom Howe and Huw Taylor have put in good performances.

Positives...Certain players have been outstanding. Will Spencer is massive. Ryan Mills has really got our attack ticking. Josh Adams has stopped panicking when he gets near the try line and is looking a real handful. Denton is wrecking ball and for me our best player almost every week is Sam Lewis, the guy is everywhere on the pitch.

Negatives....Start to the season. Ben Te'o, again does not look like the player he does when playing internationally, hopefully that will change when he plays with hougaard and Mills.

The off field stuff is the major concern though. The Allens have said that they will back the club until the right buyers are found but some of the rumours are very worrying!! The sooner this is sorted the better for everyone!
Its great the DoR situation is sorted but with apparently half our squads contracts up we need some serious discussions going on this week!!

Sorry that was much more than in planned to write!
Welcome to the forum and thanks for a good overview from a Worcester fan’s POV.

I have a real soft spot for Worcester and I genuinely enjoy watching them play. It’s interesting you picked out Sam Lewis as he’s a player I’d suggested Quins sign on our forum and got shot down.

I really liked the look of Will Butler and Huw Taylor for the U20s and I’m excited to see if Ollie Lawrence can live up to the hype from his YouTube highlight reels.

I also really like Singleton, Shillcock, Humphreys and of course Adams and Spencer.

Jackson Willison is rumoured to be off (Saracens IIRC), so perhaps that will give Butler a bit more of an opportunity. As others have said, you guys should definitely sell Te’o for the right price.

What’s the talk around Worcester about how good Ollie Lawrence could be? Looks exciting from clips I’ve seen.

Fortunately for Warriors Sam Lewis signed a contract extension last month. He is in my opinion one of the best proper 7s in the league.

Huw Taylor is apparently off to Dragons next year as he is eligible for Wales. He's struggled to establish himself in the first team but has looked in A/W action.

Singleton has really improved this year. His lineout which was a real weakness has really improved recently. I wouldn't be surprised to see him capped in 2018.

Humphreys has been unlucky in that Adams and Heem (rumoured off to France or NZ) have been so good recently as he is a real talent.

We heard Willison was off to Bath but has now signed an extension (warriors forum rumour).

We haven't seen much of him in the first team yet to be honest. The talk from the fans in the know is that he is a real talent. Him and a backrow forward called Ted Hill are the guys we're all excited to see progress from the acedemy in the next season.

Yeah, I've heard that Ted Hill is a mutant lock/8 who looks set for big things (no pun-intended).

Having seen him in age group, he looks like something special. Looking forward to seeing him progress.

Welcome to the forum Warrior - good set of first posts! We needed a Wuss fan in here. If your lot can keep hold of the likes of Singleton, Shillcock, et al, then you'll be a team to be reckoned with in a year or two.

lets hope the ownership question is settled in a good way for English rugby- is Duckworth involved at all?

How is Will Butler doing?
I believe Cecil Duckworth had put a consortium together and said he would come in if needed but was happy with the way things were going with the bidders.

Will Butler was made captain for A/W cup to try and develop his confidence. He has done quite well, it's unfortunate for him that 12 (Mills, Te'o, Willison) is quite a well stocked area for us. Definitely one to keep an eye on though.
His grandad was a good mate of my dad's, and was a top bloke....plus he went to my old school :)
