Recent departures from Quins who were first team players: NEv, Easter, Monye, Kohn and Robson, James Johnstone, Gommars, Dickson... All either retired or so shunt now they wouldn't get into LI's team...

But we replace them with Catrakilis and Alofa Alofa and Ben Glynn and Dave Lewis... Sigh.
I think the more pertinent thread for Quins fans would be 'Players you'd give back'.

Saints is not so easy, as a lot of the quality players we lost a few seasons ago such as Mujati and Tonga'huia then had a significant drop in form after leaving, so we actually saw the best of them and they were taken at the right time. I'd have Samu Manoa back like a shot though - Saints could really do with his physicality at the moment.

I'd also have Fotuali'i back. He is a prime example of the failings of the coaching set up currently at Northampton. Came to us as one of the top 9s in the game, then was clearly told to play a certain game which involved too much box kicking which didn't suit him, then we let him go to Bath where he flourishes once again.

Generally Saints do seem quite good at letting players go who don't then go on to rip up trees elsewhere. There have been a number of times I've been dismayed that we've allowed a really promising youngster go elsewhere, only for them to not realise their early potential.

Hmm ... I feel a bit sorry for Catrakilis and Saili. Hopefully both will be fit and showing us what they can do soon.

Ben Glynn’s slowly winning me over but if we get Symons next season he’ll be a definite improvement. Assuming he can get back to fitnes that is ...

Has no-one covered Newcastle?

I just posted a thread on 'Players who need to move ...' and it occurred to me that a decent amount of players have left Falcons without faring better elsewhere.

I imagine Kieran Brookes, George McGuigan and Dom Barrow would all be regular starters if they were still at Falcons.
