Agree. Good all round game, tough and fast. His brother Ross is fast too. Maybe it's genetic. Wonder if they have Scottish connections with that name? If so, Eddie Jones should act quickly before Townsend comes sniffing around.

He has another quick older brother who has played at Esher and Richmond, and Quins A. (brothers are backs).
Certainly has pedigree with World u20 poty tag and outshining Parisse in a Stade Fr. clash early last season, bagging 2 tries before HT.EJ was at that match.
Only seen clips but sounds 1 to watch.

Sorry, just checked the Saracens lineup expecting to see just a couple of recognisable names, but on checking it, not sure you can call that a Sarries academy squad! Though if they've convinced the likes of Figallo to accept an academy contract, that would explain how they've stayed under the cap!
Saracens currently have 13 International players unavailable and 10 others injured, they have even drafted in players from the Royal Navy and local clubs. The 23 is not even academy and any decent players in the 23 are there because there is no alternative.

Oh my, you are small-minded, and way off the mark - as it happens.

Saracens Anglo-Welsh team is cobbled together, there is no possibility of Saracens progressing and very little chance of them beating Exeter. All the infantile nonsense about salary caps has passed into history on just about every other rugby board, other than this one.

Sorry, I'm confused. What's your personal wealth got to do with Saracen's wage bill?

Whilst you're at it, could you explain what competition you played Exeter in last week? (You did, after all, quote a message from last week, incorrectly criticising the Saracens selection against Dragons - which had already been called up as being incorrext a whole week ago, 1 post after the one you quoted).

At the end of the day, this is the AWC - no-one really cares, and different teams take different approaches to selection, it matters not.

I don't remember the last time that Saracen's wage bill was the topic of conversation here either TBH - probably before we landed on our current home; so not really a rant worth ranting, and certainly not even slightly relevant to the posts you quoted as your starting point.

I was going to say, "Welcome back!" but given you currently appear to be furiously arguing against several attacks that no-one has made, I'm unsure how it would be taken.

Take a deep breath Convex. No-one's attacking Saracens - in fact the original post was in praise of them.

If Wasps put out a similar side to the one humped by Irish, then this'll be a very evenly balanced, if slightly low quality, game.

10. Jacob Umaga
9. Craig Hampson (c)
1. Tom West
2. Tommy Taylor
3. Will Stuart
4. Marcus Garratt
5. Will Rowlands
6. Will Owen
7. James Seabrook
8. Jack Willis

Replacements:

17. George Thornton
18. Jack Higgins
19. Guy Borrowdale

Really good to see Taylor back. Willis at 8 should be interesting.
Might be an entertaining game. Sides look pretty evenly matched.

Makes me feel old that Tigers have two players born in 2000 on their team.

Lavin and Yarnell are only 17.

The Lock Jordan gets rave reviews by the people who watch the academy games seems to be a proper enforcer.

Tigers have to be favourites given that Wasps can’t qualify. What is the decider for teams on equal points though?

Bath have guaranteed themselves a home semi-final, but it’s conceivable that by the end of today, Quins, Saints and Leicester could all top their groups on 15 points.

Tigers need to score 13 tries or win by 50 something

Yeah, it's more likely that Exeter, Saints and Newcastle all top their groups with 15...

It's rather unlikely that Quin's will top their group, as they're currently 2nd with no matches left to play. Quite honestly, Quin's would need a scandal that sees Exeter receive a ponts fine in order to qualify.

Tigers can come come top if they score 12 tries, and will come too if they score 13.
If they get 12 tries, they'll be needing a PD of 57, quite honestly, if they score 12 tries, the PD should be pretty significant

Yup, some good play, and a delight to see Tommy Taylor not just back, but looking like he was never away.
Leicester don't look like they'll do enough... to win, let alone to score 12+ tries.

Fair enough. I hadn’t noticed that Exeter had leapfrogged Quins.

That makes that shocking performance on Friday night all the more annoying and undoes all the good work building up to it.

What’s more concerning is the side that played on Friday is not too far off what we’ll be putting out during the 6 Nations.

Willis is definitely the class act on the pitch. Both Wasps props look good as well.

On Leicester's side, Simmons looks strong and well worth some more investment. Aside from that, there's precious little to be excited about in a white shirt. FTuilagi especially is just reinforcing my opinion of him that he's a colossal waste of space - stops before contact, does everything in slow motion, does his absolute best not to make the most of his size.

Andy bloody Saull's just come on for Wasps! A) When the hell did that happen and b) isn't it a bit unfair to bring on a player of such awesome quality into a 2nd XV game?
