If board form is anything to go by, Swinson will play well.

In that case they are all shite. Every last one of them.

Just thinking about the Toony tombola thing. In the forwards they have all likely 1st choice 23 options available bar LH injuries, and in the backs they have most backs available bar Dunbar and Taylor. We really should be winning comfortably.

Is really like to see a stricter defensive effort this weekend. We can often get away with conceding a bunch of dumb tries in games like this because we can score them too, but I’d love to the players approach this with the tenacity they did for Aus/NZ.

Our points difference is fucking gash.

Can't find a nice text version of the Italian team to copy paste but it's basically Zebre, Treviso plus Ghiraldini, Parisse and Polledri. Plus some bencher from the police team...

Got to watch out for Polledri but at the end of the day it's still a bunch of players who have struggled to make an impact in the Pro 14 for the last few years. We shouldn't settle for anything other than a comfortable win.

Good play in the lead up to our try.

Italy score. Nel will get the blame but Jones didn't need to drift there.

Barclay, Gray, Laidlaw, Russell or Hogg need to give the team a shake.

It was so much easier to blame Them. It was bleakly depressing to think They were Us. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.

Italy can't keep this level up for 60 mins let alone 80, lets just be patient

What about our level? They've not done anything that special.

Ah bollocks. That all came from us giving away possession all too cheaply. I will concede that someone now needs to give them a shake.

If we need possession to execute Toony’s plan then perhaps perfecting the means of securing possession in training would be a nice idea

Nice play by the forwards.

We need to be a hell of a lot better in the next 55+ min.

Italy playing simple direct quick rugby... aren't we supposed to be congratulating our guys on doing that? How many times does the same lesson have to be learned?

Fair play to COS, he's put together a clever game plan and it's working. This is what I thought that the England game would be like.

They've been playing telegraphed, hail mary, forced first-phase miracle try nonsense all 6N.

I am very concerned. I genuinely think we have regressed since the AIs (appreciate they are not as competitive). Maybe that NZ game was their one-off performance of a career and this is just the level they are typically capable of...

This is utter shite though. The team is riddled with some serious, serious problems and my main concern is that we are not seeing any real cumulative week on week or game on game improvement. What are the coaches having these guys do in training?
