Glasgow absolutely deserve to concede here. Fucking around in their own 22. Why?

When the inevitable box kick does come, it is very laboured and telegraphed. Give the oppo an age to get set.

I'm sure Banquo will be enjoying Farrell's right-to-left passing here.

Great passage. Ref trying as hard as he can to limit opportunities...

I guess we should just start playing anti-rugby and throwing the ball at their offside players on the floor.

I don't understand the reluctance to draw and pass. Hail Mary chips every time.

Yup, they keep forgetting to actually commit any defenders.

Billy caught under a player and looked to hyperextend his (heavily strapped) knee - I wouldn't be surprised to see him take some time out
Billy got over the knee injury but has now gone off with yet another arm injury. Hopefully neither is serious otherwise it’s a massive problem for England.

Off his feet in the ruck. Classic. Fuck you Mr. Referee, whoever you are.

I can't decide if I'm more frustrated by Saracens' general cuntiness or Glasgow's lack of composure in crucial moments.

Farrell is in line for a penalty for persistent petulant pushing. Prick.

This is part of England’s massive penalty count problem - players acting like cunts at club level and getting away with it find that international refs are somewhat less impressed.

I would add the emphasis on spoiling tactics at the ruck to that.

Yep, same thing. They don’t get pinged so never learn their lesson.

Jesus. Why did I put myself through that.

Should have been 3 - 6. Would have represented that game quite well.

We should have watched the newcastle game by the look of it.

An away win is an away win, but that was a dog of a game and a performance from Sarries that got far too caught up in causing niggle and confrontation.

Given the attrition rate we're seeing so far, the English clubs going out in the groups might be better for the world cup.

To me that was the greatest argument for "letting the play go on / letting the game flow" (in the form of not penalising anything in the rucks for the first hour) not working. It doesn't create an open, flowing game, it just creates a fucking mess.

You can't blame Saracens for what they did. They were allowed to. As someone else said it won't/shouldn't work at the top level though.

Yes, most of his loose, floaty passes went that way but there was also one the other way. I think BOD is an all-time great but he described Farrell as one of the world's best FHs. Odd.

Horrible, niggly, poorly controlled game of very little merit. Saracens ground out a valuable win and were worth it, but goodness that wasnt much fun to watch.

Yeah - exactly what I thought.

Terrible game and serious bad news for England with Mako, Billy and Isiekwe all picking up injuries.
