It wasn't embarrassing, but the misfiring of No.s 9 and 10 was pretty painful to watch. If Eddie couldn't pull them off then (fffnarrr!), he never will.

Yep. If I were Robson or Ford I’d be very pissed.

They probably are by now :)

I’m not surprised. They must’ve started drinking after about 70 mins!

Eddie out. What the fuck was that
Honestly, is it just that you can’t handle losing? We’re all probably a bit het up after the game, but you seem to be on a bit of a wind up at the moment. Take a break.
I'm sorry if it seems that way, but Eddie is paid good money to make decisions. It was obvious that we were struggling with the gameplan as it was. So we needed to change it. But no-one changed anything. It's his job to change thing, but we left ALL our back subs on the bench, Moon (a player who was blowing after 55 minutes) on until after 70, and didn't change a single thing about the gameplan.

This is a WC year. You need a plan B. This was the time to use it, but no...

The performance of the England team in that 2nd half was embarrassing. And the blame lies squarely on the shoulders of the coach.
Yeah, I agree with a lot of that. But a few weeks ago we beat Ireland in Dublin, and a large part of that was due to us getting our tactics spot on. This is the first time we’ve lost to Wales in the last 6.

Seems there are a lot of pretty evenly matched teams at the moment, and these games are being decided on small margins. It’s a frustrating and painful loss, and we need to learn some lessons.

Quite. It wasn't just defeat that wrankled, it was the overall incompetence surrounding it. We could have won and should have won - but we lost.

Eddie doesn't have George Smith to hold his hand any more. He will never change.

The reason I do this poll before the test window is to pre-empt extreme reactions and guard against people saying that a performance is "unacceptable" when what they mean is that it's bad and that they entirely accept that nothing much will change.

But what if I do think it's unacceptable and that Eddie needs to show drastic improvement in that area or he should lose his job, WC or not.

If a coach cannot use his bench, there's no point him being there on match day.

I wonder how it played into it that he massively fucked up the introduction of the bench vs Wales last time (I think) bringing a few players on very early?

That's what the poll is for. To demonstrate that's actually what you think rather than rhetoric.

If there wasn't a world cup he'd be at big risk now, as there is he's at very little risk
