Somebody check in with Liz. See how he's handling this turn of events.

Can we temporarily unban rowan so we can all dunk on him and tell that jackass to eat crow?

Only because there wasn't any serious freakout or grand, spectacular departure like when I apparently used my voodoo mind tricks on UG and evidently got him banned because he got so upset over words on the internet that he started making threats.
Mods deleted the multitude of Azerbaijan 4th Division North East League Results threads that he was making, and told him to knock it the fuck off because no one gave a shit, he went ahead and reposted them anyway and got banned. What an absolute dildo, can't even get banned right.

He will be reading this, don’t you worry.

That will have him edging.

Yeah, thanks for putting that thought into my head.

Speaking of bell ends, is Quade Cooper a realistic option for the Wallabies?

What’s up with the chiefs. Crusaders putting 50 odd by them and some pretty soft points leaked. Added to their horrible start to the season it’s all a bit grim.

Someone needs to get Rettalika out of there before they break him.

Where would you send him. Highlanders might be a decent fit.

Anywhere but the Bloos. That team is cursed.

That's a bit racialist.

SBW had one of his best games in a while, and probably would warrant another look as captain.

I wondered how he went in the drivers seat. He takes his mentorship seriously, but couldn't be accused of being one of the great tacticians of the game. Pretty humble and Zen dude since he gave up all that bogan nonsense.

Communicated well with the ref (helped by the fact that Mike Fraser himself had a solid game), could be seen organising the backline at setpieces and talked a lot to his team. Couldn't ask for more, really.

SBW will be unavailable for the Blues next week. He will be in Christchurch fundraising and offering his support to the Muslim community.

So the Sunwolves are out next year?

They're out in 2021 - they still have to field a team in 2020 despite being about to lose all support from the Japanese RU in umbrage at being kicked out. Yet another organisational clusterfuck from Super Rugby.

Quick update on the NZ franchises form to date:
- Highlanders - few lucky wins that could have gone either way, starting to wane.
- Crusaders - peaked too early, may make the playoffs, but unlikely to be in the semis.
- Hurricanes - hot and cold, lack the consistency to win it all.
- Chiefs - not their year, likely wooden spoon contenders.
- Blues - building nicely, couple more weeks for the team to finish developing systems and may well be unbeatable. Have to be favourites to win the competition now.

Who would you say have been the non-test players that have been stepping up in the NZ teams?
I'd go with
Blues: Tom Robinson
Chiefs: Alex Nankivell
Hurricanes: Wes Goosen
Crusaders: Whetu Douglas
Highlanders: Pari Pari Parkinson

Christopher Reive of the herald's picks:
Will Jordan
Tom Robinson
Ngani Laumape (strange one given he's already an AB)
Josh Ione

Will Jordan is a good call. He was seriously unlucky to miss selection last year.
