Hard to believe Sinckler was a full-back (or might have been centre) at school. Must have had a subsequent accident in a radiation laboratory on a school trip somewhere down the line.

Yes. And Charlie Walker (ex sprinter) looks the fastest man on the pitch. Great acceleration for his try.

Yep. He's got one of those much fabled "only a bit slower than Usain Bolt but whilst wearing socks and running on grass" 100m times. Like Ugo Monye and Tom Varndell back in the day.

Jesus, he's properly quick.

Great try

Yeah, I was being serious about that 100m time....

You can't beat serious gas in the back three.

This just seems like everything is clicking for quins (apart from a few overlaps)

Turnovers going great, sprint finishes going their way, forwards making breaks, and topping it off with Chisholm having the foresight to have his foot in touch for that lineout.

Hate to say it, but Austin is dead right - we're killing ourselves by not designating someone to play SH.
Of course, it's game over now. Stupid, stupid stupid!

And of course, Quins can now cheat as much as they like, cos they can simply afford to; we're not going to kick for points, and the ref doesn't want to use his card; and even if he does they've plenty of cushion; and at some stage, we're just going to give the ball back anyway.

Wallace with a great carry there. Is Eddie watching?

Quins really need to work on converting overlaps.

not able to watch, but just seen the score..wtf. Bath must have some big issues, that's a decent team in theory.

They've butchered quite a bit, and Cook had a yellow that they really suffered for…
but Quins have looked like a side that would have challenged a lot of teams.

good effort given even their own fans were a tad worried

We were playing the better rugby, for the first 30 minutes or so; but kept shooting ourselves in the foot with stupidity.
We then tried to shooting ourselves in the foot, but missed and blew our whole leg off with Cook going for a deliberate knock-on and getting rightly yellowed.
Quins found a wave of confidence, and put 24 points on us in 10 minutes as we tried to play without anyone acting scrum half in attack or defence; and the rest is history.

Basically there was nothing in it; then there was a fairly brief period where everything went right for Quins, and everything went wrong for Bath (of their own making) and that period was all that was needed. Expect Quins to make this even more embarrassing in the last 20 as Bath tire physically - we already have mentally.

Yup. Let's say that I'm pleasantly surprised. We've decided to start offering runners for the offloader again rather than dying in contact.

If all rugby matches that didn't involve your own team could be like this it would be quite wonderful.

Taking away 1 point is the right decision after being 29 points down.

Still, you kind of wish they went for the try

Got to wonder what the ultimate outcome would have been had the ref shown Quins a yellow card in that earlier spell of consistent penalties.

The biggest toss of a coin was Easter in the first 5 minutes. Had he not regathered that would have been a yellow all day long; with Bath on the front foot early (and what a match by FEaster today; getting him off the pitch for 10 minutes would have made a massive difference).
Take that out, and it looked like Bath could have been cutting loose, no-one would be talking about the Mafi near-try (I think short anyway, ref was right).
Chances are Cook wouldn't have gone for that tap-down were we ahead on the board; and that "10 minutes of madness" would never have happened.

However, it did happen, and in 10 minutes of rugby, Quins played properly well, everything they touched turned to gold; and won the match there and then.

Quite honestly; Bath could have had about 3 yellows; Quins could have had 4-5; and both coaches should stop bitching.

It was interesting with the commentators talking about the "palms up" versus "palms down" deliberate knock-on when Charlie Walker was almost away for his hat-trick - was the Cook knock-on a slap down or was he genuinely trying to gather the ball? I missed that at the time. I suppose if you have re-gathered the ball then you must have made an effort to keep the ball alive by keeping it "up". If Easter had then subsequently dropped it, would it just be a knock for having tits-for-hands or deemed deliberate?

Lambert's certainly enjoying his time in the sun. He's never been more than a decent backup but he's running around like a rhino on acid these days
