Hutchison was very good. He had a hand in most of Saints’ best play. Given all of Scotland’s injuries and the quality of his last two showings, he can’t be far off a surprise call-up.
Impressed with Ludlam too. An extended run of games has really helped him and he now looks like a key player in their starting XV. Along with Underhill and the Curry twins, we’re really developing a group of highly promising 7s. Can’t wait for Jack Willis to get back too.
Not quite sure what to say re. Sale ... on paper that lineup was very good for an international window (only missing Tom Curry, Strauss and Ashton by my reckoning) and was arguably better than Saints’ but after a reasonable first 20, they literally fell apart. So many basic errors and lack of care.
