Then immediately makes up for it (even it even was his fault) with a bit of brilliance to create Hill's hat-trick score. He certainly looks lethal today, though this is the best I've seen him, or Exe as a whole, play for a while. I'm not even sure Worcester are playing badly.

Exe were just incredibly good i felt.
Nowell gets downgraded by some for his flaws, yet doesnt receive anything like enough praise for the many good things he brings to a team.
His finish yesterday was brilliant (aided by Ewers who has more try assists than anyone else in the League) and he does so much unglamourous physical work at the breakdown and in his high workrate.

I don't think anyone denies Nowell is an excellent club player, and as one of his 'downgraders' at international level would see his value as a sometime squad member (notably quoting his work rate and ability to scramble hard yards- not the first thing you'd look for in an international winger, but handy), but he's no more than average generally at intl level (his first up defence and shortage of top end pace are the obvious issues), and imo we have better. I actually think he get a lot of praise and recognition from those that really matter anywayfivepointer wrote:Exe were just incredibly good i felt.

I don't think he is; everyone would say he's an excellent club player. See earlier comment on translation to international stage though.Puja wrote:Just seen that Nowell try on the highlights - utterly ridiculous. He is very much underrated on here IMO.

A nice try from Nowell, but Wuss did defend that like they'd just been knocking back vodkas before the game. So passive from the 8 and 9 once the winger had been stepped

I thought the two right-to-left miss-passes from Slade for Hogg and Vermeulen’s tries were quite delicious. Sumptuous infact.
