I'm surprised more hasn't been made of this match. There is no way an exeter second team should be able to beat saints.

I thought it was popular opinion that Exeter 2nd XV could beat anyone else's 1st XV except Saracens.
Let's face it, there's a whole bunch of mediocrity behind those 2; and Exeter's real strength comes in their systems, and getting the absolute best out of average players - meaning that there's much less of a drop off from Exeter 1sts to Exeter 2nds than any other club could claim.
Exeter 2nd XV playing the Exeter way, would be a mid-table team - where any of 8 teams can all beat the others without it being any surprise.
