That was some McCaw esque stuff from Underhill.
Yet again Ewers gets behind a carrier and they become absolutely unstoppable, even with Ellis putting a big physical hit in.
How does anyone make a decision over McConnochie this season when we never see Daly? He looks class.
May, Watson and McConnochie has some pretty freakish physical abilities.

Yeah. Once Exe get in to pick and drive mode in the five yard you might as well save everyone’s time and just award the try.

Broken finger for Stuart.
Luckily as a prop, he doesn't need to handle the ball too much

I’d actually be happy to see Bath win the whole thing were it not for this yellow kit. Someone has to be held responsible for this thing. Surely?

Does anyone find this “you stepped away from it” law at the ruck a bit rediculous? You can come steaming in and go straight off your feet to protect the ball, which is what we are trying to outlaw with the new laws, as long as the other player doesnt engage

Just a sense of inevitability. Bath have got to start firing their own shots. 3 pointers aren't going to build fast enough to offset Exeters pick and go.

Need to someone to get someone over the ball, only way to stop them 5 metres out.

He’s got his right arm up a bit but that pointed left shoulder looks really bad.

Clearly hits the head first, you see his head get forced down.

I think he misses the head, hits the Trapezius.
Then it's an argument of neck Vs shoulder.
Quite honestly, I'm just happy that a ref has noticed a ruck entry without arms

The slow-mo near the start of the discussion, when Barnes says they might want to look again, you see Faletaus head almost level, Hill hits him and his head goes down almost vertically, there's no way that happens if his head isn't hit for me.Which Tyler wrote:I think he misses the head, hits the Trapezius.

Well that’s a pretty low bar isn’t it.
When the player is heading at 45 degrees towards the ground it never looks great to be pointing your shoulder like that, regardless of how high you hit them. It just looks like something that will often injure and always leave them off their feet anyway.

Tricky - that was so dangerous it morally warranted a red. But they said no clear evidence and likely didn’t want to be seen to wreck the game. But it’s exactly that sort of no arms dangerous clearance that needs taking out of the game- stay on your feet, bind and drive ffs.

Thats why I find the fact that if Faletau pulled away from that breakdown then Hill would got nothing ridiculous. You have to punish players for these clearouts in all facets if you want a behaviour change.
I think a yellow was okay in this case but theres half a dozen of clearouts like this a game that go unpunished because the jackaler pulls out because he doesnt want his neck to get snapped.

Bath no ideas or cohesion out in the wide channels. They had 2/3 chances to exploit an overlap and fluffed them all.

Whats the thoughts on Redpath vs Devoto? Both had some classy moments, probably only room for one in the EPS

Ben Kay spot on: penalty try for Exe. I’d also give Spencer a yellow.
