His late father was Sir John Kay a lord justice and member of the privy council. I think his sister is a high court judge as well.

Odogwu had a fantastic game. Not only was he great with the ball, he made some good interventions in defence too. He’s having by far his best season so far.

Odogwu was brilliant again, but i think he's better in the centre. Shields was also fantastic when he came on.

Jack Willis had his worst game in a while, and in front of Eddie too. Umaga also pretty poor

Yep. At least Willis can say some of it was down to the ref’s interpretation at the breakdown. Umaga was just outright poor.

Umaga's like the flakiest bits of Cips at times. Atkinson will overtake him. Wtf happened to our Jack? 7/10? Needs to up his game. Odogwu must be a nightmare to tackle. What a mental game of rugby. What happened to the old dreadfully dull Kingston Park Friday night matches?

Hugely enjoyable game that see sawed throughout.
Plenty of good performances on both sides. Enjoyed Odogwu. Nice to see him settling down and producing some good, consistent play. Launchbury and Ewels both excellent. Cruse very good, likewise Obano and Redpath.
Umaga a disappointment. Willis a bit anonymous, which is a rarity.

Good to see Odogwu coming through and starting to fulfill his potential. He's always had the ability to step most people in a post box but consistency and allegedly attitude has been a problem. I thought he was about 28 but he's only 23 so maybe he's just matured a bit and realised what it takes to make it. He was very young when he started to play for Tigers A team and in the Ayerza testimonial and then at Sale.

If he can nail down his basics and defence Eddie might start taking interest as he likes players that can cover more than one position and get involved. Odogwu could have a similar impact to Nowell who's great at coming off his wing looking for work.

Odogwu just blasted through underhill. You rarely see that.

I said to the wife last night when we were watching him that it wouldn’t do any harm for Uncle Eddie to see him playing two positions (3 if you include his scrummaging). I said he runs like a slightly slower but more powerful Jason Robinson. Knowing Eddie and his odd selections I wonder if he wants to look at him as maybe a second or third choice centre. Stranger things have happened........

Yep, Odogwu looked good. The analogy of a faster Nowell is a good one. I’d like him to prove its permanent class rather than temporary form before we anoint him, though. Speaking of the anointed one. I think I’ll let Willis off. Might be the first time I’ve seen him play and not thought he’s the best player on the pitch.
Wasps are such fun to watch. As with Bristol, I’d definitely be purchasing a season ticket were I a local.

I don't think Robinson was actually that fast over 50 metres, it was his acceleration and speed through tiny gaps that was so devastating. I thought Odogwu was similar til I saw him catch McConnachie at one point. His running style looks all bustle and no speed, but it's obv very deceptive.

Odogwu was an 11 second 100m runner as a teenager, so has genuine top end speed.

Sounds like Odogwu is in line for an Italy call-up

You can't just expect to shove someone who's never played there in at 15 - it's a specialist position.

On a serious note, I think that's a little harsh. That spiral bomb of Ford's is vicious and there'll be other full-backs made to look like idiots by them.

It wasn't just not contesting the kick against Steward (was it Steward?) it was getting back into line to not make a tackle on the ball carrier. The one thing not to do when making a mistake is to back it up with another mistake. It happens of course, just Daly would cop some flak for it and Watson got quietly sent back out wide
