That was nuts. Wasps never looked like they were gonna win that even though they were stretching away at times. They still have to try the miracle ball when it isn't on, whereas Quins played the miracle ball plenty but never in a risky fashion. Fabulous entertainment for the neutral.

Smith and Robson obvs, but Marchant was class, as was Brown before his "incident". Rowlands made a lot of yards and Young was quality as ever. Willis was making a proper dent before he went off. I'd echo the words about Barnes too. Quins attititude in that match was fantastic.

Awful from Wasps. Utterly awful. Thrilling for a neutral, sure, but how can anyone associated with the team take anything positive from that?

Well, I suppose our ability to score tries is a plus, so long as one ignores our propensity to let in even more.

And our seemingly unique ability to be unable to beat teams playing with 14 or less players

I thought Quins were the better team on the day but wow did they keep shooting themselves in the foot with just stupid, stupid things. Mr Brown being the main exhibit in that evidence.

Wasps had lots of the ball eventually go to a point to where the we're going to score more than you mentally had born fruit and then kept playing? I don't understand why. Sale gave a really good demonstration of how to wind the clock down during their 13 man period. Why with five points in the bag and a man up were Wasps still trying to play. Just forward carries in the opposition half is all you need, take big chunks out of the clock and force a desperate Quins team to try and win it back off you. Just so loose, I'm sure I'll get stick for it but I'd be looking at the international halfback at that point though to be fair Quins international half back offered no control over the game either.

Great game as a neutral.

Understand the frustration. Wasps should have closed the game out, but they did a lot of good things in attack, looking lively and inventive. Several of their players had strong games and they contributed fully to a terrific game.
Quins do deserve a lot of credit for their willingness to keep going and the wining try was very nicely put together.

The problem for Wasps is it's another game they have lost having failed to close it out, another game they've lost because they have given up 75% of the field to stupid penalties allowing the opposition to work a late score. So to me they have just exhausted the credit to talk about what may have been good. It's another loss, under the same circumstances. Against a team reduced to 14 men. Again.

Should hear soon if Brown can play again for Quins, though I suspect people would be guessing that's a no.

At least Leicester can't be accused of bias in this given they're not competing for points with Quins, they might even prefer Quins to go top 4 over say Saints, unless somehow Brown gets off

6 week ban for Mike Brown

4 weeks for Tom Dunn

Hmm. No Brown or Esterhuizen is massive if we get in to the playoffs.

12 week reduced to 6 for MB based on it not being intentional..... Not entirely sure I agree with that.

He may not have intended to stamp on his face, but it was obviously an intentional stamp!

Also, does his ban carry into next season?

I don’t think it was an intentional stamp exactly (obviously I would say that) but it was so fucking stupid and dangerous it’s hard to argue with. What a way to go.

Brown either intended to tread on Taylor, or he stepped on him accidentally. Didnt look like an accident to me but these panels seem to accept everything isnt intentional based - presumably - on the player saying it was an unfortunate accident.

Anyway, thats Brown Quins career over. Its a shame to go out on such a low, given he has been a tremendous servant to the club.

It will. Newcastle now have a vested interest in Quins getting into the top 4.
