We are rank. It was a shite game all round. I switched over to the Glasgow game at half time.

Sam Beard headed to NGD. Welsh qualified apparently.

He won't get capped either way, but maybe it makes them feel better.

Aye there is no danger he will get capped by Wales.

No danger he gets capped by Wales or even Scotland but that's a poor squad decision for me. He's never been given a proper run of games but has shown more in his glimpses than most of our centers. I feel like we got Helu and Allen in because we felt we needed WC cover (for one player being away) and because they've got longer left on their contracts we're losing the best option of the three of them.

FFS, Gilchrist has broken his arm again and requires surgery. That is horrific news for the guy, absolutely gutted for him. Guess that rules out Toulon as well.

Jeez.. This guy has his very own black cloud..
Another of our talented players with an injury curse.. But hopefully will be restored to F.W.O. for next season..

FFS. I can see another Ross Rennie situation.
Toulon surely won't want to touch him now.

Unreal. Totally unrelated to his other injury too!

What the f*ck. Poor bastard. I was pinning all my hopes of some cohesion in the pack, a functioning line-out and some leadership on him.

Sad but predictable. He's never fit.

Scarlets at home is the sort of game that must be won if we're going to challenge for top 4 (doubtful) and be secure in the top 6. Pleased to see Kinghorn and Ritchie get the starts, makes more sense to pull them from the U20's this way. That front row looks pretty horrible though.
Edinburgh: Blair Kinghorn, Damien Hoyland, Michael Allen, Sam Beard, Tom Brown, Phil Burleigh, Sean Kennedy; Allan Dell, Neil Cochrane (captain), John Andress, Anton Bresler, Ben Toolis, Jamie Ritchie, Hamish Watson, Cornell Du Preez.
Replacements: George Turner, Grant Sheills, Simon Berghan, Alex Toolis, Magnus Bradbury, Nathan Fowles, Chris Dean, Dougie Fife.
Scarlets: Michael Collins; Gareth Owen, Regan King, Hadleigh Parkes (capt), DTH van der Merwe; Aled Thomas, Aled Davies; Phil John, Kirby Myhill, Peter Edwards, George Earle, David Bulbring, Maselino Paulino, James Davies, Morgan Allen.
Replacements: Ryan Elias, Dylan Evans, Rhodri Jones, Rory Pitman, Will Boyde, Rhodri Williams, Dan Jones, Steff Evans.

Sheills was such a prospect a while ago.
A win over Scarlets would do the Weeg a big favour as well.
The ever undroppable Burleigh still at 10 but at least Kinghorn's talents are being recognised and he's being given a start. The backline doesn't look too bad besides 13 and 10. Front row is poor, aye. If Edinburgh turn up it should be a close game. Scarlets are not that great and had a nice little run during the RWC period when other teams were weak.

Have Scottish teams finally shaken off the curse of Cuttita?
Decent kick from Kinghorn.

Hugh Dan McLennan and John Beattie. Hugh Dan usually does the gaelic commentary.
