Genge should have seen red there, let off with a yellow

How is a palm to face, in the eye area, and then a hair pull, only a yellow?

Every scrum is just automatically a Leicester penalty. Genge/Montoya/Cole is bad enough for a injury-battered pack to deal with, but they're backed up by 4 locks, it's just unfair. We don't even need to cheat with that power.

Ah f*ck. Genge is about to get red carded just as I type that.

Wow. A yellow. Don't argue Ellis - just get off the pitch before the ref sees another replay. Think he might get a citing and a ban cause that did look as if fingers ended up in the eye after that push.

Actually looked more like a thumb/finger into the eye. That’s a red all day.

Genge hits his cheek it's not near the eye. It's a strike to the face and a hair pull very lucky not to see red. Citing commissioner might give him next week off.

We're due a bit of luck on the cards as Wasps must be in double figures and have conceded penalties at four of five scrums without a warning. I'd hope the Tigers have an experienced player in the refs ear as they go back out for the second half pointing out the Wasps discipline.

Tigers controlling the game but Wasps doing fantastically well to contest everything and make it a real bun fight. Lineout and breakdown are carnage and Young coming off the bench is going to only help Wasps in that department.

Don't think it actually went in the eye, hence me just saying area (which I believe is enough for a citing anyway, admittedly low end).

Genge is another player chewing gum while playing. Always seems really dumb to me.

No I agree but it was close and to me didn’t look open palmed at all, first slow mo replay looked like he was leading with digits.

Also think Montoya is lucky there.

I have a horrible suspicion that we're going to lose this one. Just seem to be autopiloting through the game and ignoring the fact that we're only just ahead and Wasps are getting more and more confident. We need the next score.

First scrum and we'll lose all our steam I suspect.

We just look like we've lost all plans. Aimlessly kicking the ball away, no organisation in our attack, no bite in our defence. Wasps are doing so much better this half, but we're giving them this game right now. Someone needs to take the game by the scruff of the neck.

Ford isn't screaming for an England recall. The fact that I am watching this happen depresses me.

Fingers crossed for Nearchou (for the commentators, it’s Nee-Arr-Koo) and hope he doesn’t get his head stuffed up his arse again.
His dad always used to think it a gross injustice that Barbeary would get picked ahead of him. Can’t think why.

In fact, a bit disappointing from an England perspective. It's my first time watching t Willis and barbeary. I haven't seen much to excite me but I'm surrounded by distractions. Anyone with a better eye disagree with my underwhelment?

As it turns out, if you stop playing entirely and just continually give the ball back to the opposition, they'll eventually find a way to score points with it. Who knew?

Barbeary's not been perfect, but his ability to make ground even in heavy contact is something to behold. Ridiculous strength, not just in momentum carries, but in riding tackles and stepping out of them. It's a USP.

He and Tom Willis both have a good ability to seemingly be stopped, but then make a few yards.

It happens every now and again. More problematic is when I put "Puja" at the bottom of a work e-mail.

How is that not a yellow card against Hougaard?! Clear cynical offence killing off a real attacking opportunity.

Nearchou is losing it for us. Big, soft, and unfit.

It's going to end up with a Wasps penalty though. The ref's going to bottle it and seize the first opportunity to get out of the situation.
