Ford's been genuinely world class and isn't getting half the adulation that Fazlet did. Real shame he's had to go off.

Youngs has been very good as well (one mis-placed pass notwithstanding).

Genuinely not sure if that Nadolo "deliberate knock-on" even went forwards. His hand definitely went to flick it backwards.

First Dayglo reference to Farrell - defending him against criticisms of his tackle yesterday.

Luke Pearce has just pulled play a full 40m backwards for "no advantage" from a late tackle.

Healey is getting het up about the TMO not giving an Exeter try where there's clearly two arms underneath it at all times. Bizarre - it's like he's watching a different video feed.

Sheesh Pearce isn't on the Tigers side is he. Nadolo sent to the bin for a deliberate knock that went backwards and then a 50m break doesn't make it advantage over.

TMO seems to have woken up after missing the stone wall deliberate knock on the first half as well.

Sheesh come on Pearce that's a stonewall holding on from the first man let alone the second one you've pinged for picking the ball up with no Exeter players on their feet.

Had a go at snatching defeat from the jaws of victory in that last twenty minutes, but got the deserved victory.

Chessum was excellent - 22 tackles and very solid in the rucks.

Made a couple of good carries as well. Very good performance from Chessum, a deserving POTM.

That final passage of defence was pretty immense. Twenty odd passages of defence that took Chiefs from their own 22 slowly back to over their own tryline was excellent.

Poor effort from Exe, who took an age to get going and made innumerable dull errors. Tigers very compact, organised and highly efficient were good winners.

Can't disagree but Exeter gifted them a fair few points with those mistakes, without which the result would have been rather different.

Would say that the only gift was Ashton's second - the first two were the result of very good pressure and good execution - but the overall point is valid. We are still an excellent defence, an excellent set-piece, and an attack which is only excellent on occasions. Two thirds of a triple threat and I suspect it might cost us at the business end of the season.

I’m not sure the ref was quite as harsh against Leicester as you seem to feel he was, though there were certainly some questionable decisions in there.

Why do Leicester now wear those horrible jerseys with no hint of the traditional and classic green/red/white ?

In the main Pearce was pretty good. Felt we were a bit hard done by during a period in the second half and that the Nadolo yellow was harsh considering the lack of sanction for O'Flaherty early doors.

Kevin Sinfield will be a pretty satisfied man tonight. When you're starting tighthead manages 23 tackles and gives no penalties away.

That's our away shirt (which I'm actually quite fond of). Don't ask me why we wear it despite not clashing in the slightest with Exeter, the answer begins with m and either ends with oney or erchandising.

This is the current home one, which is awful, but better than some that we've had:

Wow. Heyes made 23 tackles. Thats some effort and a real sign of his development. I thought he was busy but not quite to that degree.

Looks like Heyes lost a tackle on the stat recap.

Wonder why Tigers beat Chiefs...
