Eh if Wigglesworth goes full time coaching next season and could see him potentially being looked at for head coach.

I'm resigned to losing him in 2023. Unless he has a massive implosion next season, there's no way he's not the next England coach.
Hopefully Brett Deacon is learning everything he can to take over and be the continuity appointment.

Really? Not sure he's got the same natural leadership Sinfield has. Our attack is the least developed part of our game so Wigglesworth also has the most work to do in his day job.Tigersman wrote:Eh if Wigglesworth goes full time coaching next season and could see him potentially being looked at for head coach.

I mean what does natural leadership mean?FKAS wrote:Really? Not sure he's got the same natural leadership Sinfield has. The biggest thing I have heard come out of Tigers is clarity not leadership, it's Borthwick's eye for detail and ability to drive it in.
Murphy was a natural leader but it didn't help as head coach.

Murphy always felt like a risky bet to transition to a coach because he was such an instinctive and naturally talented player that he didn't have the experience of having to make the most out of a little and work hard to develop himself. Underwhelming grafters as players who maximised themselves despite not being naturally the best make the best coaches IMO - Vesty, Borthwick, Baxter, Sanderson, etc. I'm willing to bet Robshaw's going to be good as well and I hear good things about Matt Smith.Tigersman wrote:I mean what does natural leadership mean?FKAS wrote:Really? You'd've though BDeacon's the designated successor, given he was the man in charge of the Prem Cup team, which played in Borthwick's image and often achieved above the sum of its parts.

When he speaks people stop and listen. You get that impression with Borthwick and I get that impression with Sinfield. Words aren't wasted they are clear and to the point, voice doesn't need to be raised. Good leaders involve those skilled people who work beneath them in decision making another thing I think Borthwick and Sinfield would have in common.Tigersman wrote:I mean what does natural leadership mean?FKAS wrote:Really? I dunno the players were a bit emotional, went flying into everything. Discipline and defensive shape were not the best. A calmer team talk before the Leinster game where we'll need to be super clinical might be required.
Is Sheedy staying at Bristol next season because he didn't look interested and Bristol improved when Eden came on. Mind you they also improved when Uren came on for Randall who might be glad Eddie wasn't watching in person.
