Though I like him, Radwan hasn't done much on a consistent basis for a while really. You sort of feel that someone with a bit more grunt on the other wing might be nice if we try Arundell.

Blimey though, the best individual try I've seen in ages. What a talent

It’s the attitude. Yeah, it’s just Toulon in front of me, this should be a walk in the park.

I love Flatman losing the ability to speak and just shouting, "ARRRRRRHHH" as he scores. Very similar to my reaction, tbh. I kinda want to hear the French commentary on this. You just know they'd love it, even against a French team.
I have found the French commentary and it is as amazing as you would expect:

"Watch out for this boy. Watch out for this boy! Arundell 19 years old! 19 year old ARUNDEEELLLLL! What is he doing ARUUUUUNDDEEEEEEELLLLLL!!! Unbelievable!"

That kind of gas and running ability at 15 would transform England. Needs snaffling up asap- I thought Parton was pretty handy runner, then this lad appeared.

We could go full Eddie and suggest a three centre and two fullback option. Who needs wingers.

Puja wrote:Okay, that was plain ridiculous. Arundell is just utterly overpowered in broken field - going from under pressure on his own tryline to score in the corner and beating covering defenders that he had absolutely no right to. He must travel to Australia this summer.

Can't imagine what he'd do on a 7s pitch as well. I suspect it might be dangerously arousing.

Puja
Could do the summer tour and the Commowealth Games, just about.

The full Alf Ramsey gamble.

To put a bit of a dampener on the hype, it is worthwhile noting that the kid is in his first ever professional season and is a complete unknown to most oppositions. Right now, he's got the advantage of players not expecting him to pull off the moves that he is.

His second season, once he's starting for Irish and is a name that opposition coaches will be noting in midweek as a player specifically to shut down, will tell us whether he's going to be a star or not. I'm hopeful that he will, but it will be harder when he goes for gaps that were there before and are now slammed shut.

Who do you think I'm addressing other than the people posting about him?!

It's as much a reminder to myself to calm down as to anyone else.

I’m old enough to remember when Paolo Odogwu and Louis Lynagh were going to be the wingers to win England the World Cup…if only Eddie would pick them.

Anyway, anybody seen that Cassius Cleaves chap? He’s gonna be an absolute diamond.

Is now a good time to say he started life as an inside centre at Harrow when he made the first XV? ;)

His wrap arounds from 12 were utter filth!

Oh and he was the kicker too! :D

Wasn't Odogwu going to be 13?

It does make me think that international coaches may be onto something when they don't pick all our favourites instantly. People like maunder and Joe Simmonds got a ton of hype and have now completely dropped away.

Maintaining world class quality for multiple seasons is really hard and I think getting harder. Think about players like Daly who have dropped back in estimation. People like Itoje are few and far between - I think estimating the shelf life of a player's quality and whether to invest squad time in them must be one of the trickiest things about international coaching.

To be honest, I expect Arundell to be called into the England squad for the summer and then break a leg or something in the baabaas fixture or in meaningless premiership game. I'm sad to say that seems more likely than him becoming world class. Fingers crossed I am overly pessimistic.
