His defensive alignment was picked up last night by Austin. He uses his pace really well to cover space and and stop the opposition getting onto the outside. He tackled well.Mikey Brown wrote: ↑Sat Dec 09, 2023 11:52 amHow’s the old defensive positioning looking? I’ve got a source in the know and they tell me that’s important when playing 13.Banquo wrote: ↑Fri Dec 08, 2023 10:03 pmyep, his distribution needs work, but he and dingwall are a very good emerging combo.FKAS wrote: ↑Fri Dec 08, 2023 8:30 pm [
Furbank looks like he's bulked up a bit for this season. Just seems to have given him a little bit more power when bursting through the tackle. He's been impressive so far.
Freeman, bar one misplaced pass and one instance where he didn't pass and should have, has been outstanding. Defensively sound and in attack a real threat. Doubts over him at 13 are vanishing very quickly.
Centre is looking like a realistic long-term option? He’s certainly got a beautifully balanced running style. Not quite seen enough to know how well he uses his size?
Both of his tries from last night showed him use his physicality, he barged over from a short pop for the first and then cut a nice line on the second. Looked like he'd been stopped but then went again to drag Stafford McDowall over the line. Stafford McDowall isn't a small bloke either, that was an impressive display of power.
