Commentators on eurosport mentioned the soccer match alrightDonny osmond wrote: ↑Wed Jul 24, 2024 10:02 pmFelt like the crowd were against Arg even before that, I wonder if what happened to the French XV players in Argentina over the summer has anything to do with it? Or a reaction to the Arg football team being exposed as massive racists? The football crowd were vehemently against the Arg footballers in that game that got abandoned too.paddy no 11 wrote: ↑Wed Jul 24, 2024 9:45 pmThere was a strong tackle from Argentina in game 1 that the French crowd took umbrage with. Total over reaction. Crowd looking for a villian after thatWhich Tyler wrote: ↑Wed Jul 24, 2024 8:57 pm
Didn't see anything from Aus in the first match to worry the others, missed this 2nd.
Haven't seen Argentina yet, but hear the crowd are really unhappy with them - anyone know why?

Has or had?
I know the commentators keep saying that age hasn't slowed him. But they're lying about that, he's still quick, but not as quick as he was.

Well if I ran 10.58 it'd be claiming it forever
Honestly I can't recall ever seeing play before I'll take your word for it on slowing down though

He's 38.
Crowd sound a tad excited for this one.
Hopefully a pre-run of the final

Fiji are doing enough, but will be unhappy. France are doing really well here

And wouldn't you know it, the first 1/4 final is... Arg v France. Awesome.
It was so much easier to blame Them. It was bleakly depressing to think They were Us. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.

3 of those 1/4 finals are well tasty. No disrespect to USA but Aus will be favourites, the other three games could go either way.
NZ will probs have too much for SA who have been a little out of sorts in this comp.
Arg v France - who knows? I'd prob make Argentina slight faves for that one.
Fiji v Ire - Fiji obv faves but Ire are a very good side and it wouldn't be that big a surprise for them to win.

Ah Ireland threw that away, should have been playing for bronze, they're 2-3 players short of beating fiji

Very annoyed with that defeat, kennedy with his pace has to take on nz from a 5m pen.
Collier got injured scoring try and didn't play 2nd half, nothing to replace him v fiji if he's out

SA with the upset of the tournament there. NZ were a shadow of themselves but incredible defence from SA.

ALLEZ LES BLEUS!!!!!
I am 0% so far (or 100% depending how you look at it) in predictions but pretty happy about that. France produce a glorious display to beat Argentina.

Fiji did their best to give that to Ireland but they win eventually. Phew, these 1/4ers are taking it out of me

Ah that's disappointing
Threw away a medal v nz imo
Keenan added nothing, bar not catching restarts and costing us the game
