There used to be a cafe in Christchurch called the chocolate bomb house (named after the ice-cream I guess) that used to do the most amazing breakfast "sandwich". Big proper hash brown on the bottom, tomato and chilli relish, then bacon, both back and streaky topped with fried eggs and more relish and finally another big proper hash brown.

I wish I could make real hash browns. Those horrible little triangle things you get in the UK are vile, but a really good real one is ace.

I thought it was called eggs Florentine? Anyway, it's great, thanks for the idea, had it yesterday. The question is, do you make your hollandaise sauce from scratch?

In Italy I broke my continental breakfast into 3 parts.

1st part. All the savouries, toast, cheeses, meats, eggs, sauages all that stuff. Pile it up son.

2nd part. Sweet. For some reason they have cakes and chocolate and shit for breakfast. Cupcakes, pancakes, pastries.

3rd part. Bowl of cereal.

The go back up to the hotel room and sleep. Then try to burn it all off swimming and shit.

Breakfast sfogliatelle made with lard. Yum. Summer melone with prosciutto. Local yogurt. A good strong real coffee. Italy is tumeke bro.

I hope you didn't try and touch any Italian ladies with your tiny greasy hands.
